CHAPTER 49

Jason walked around the carriage with a deep frown on his face. The carriage was packed with his brother's belongings because the man believed his life would be better off far away from their cursed town. "Hey, be careful with that painting. It's ridiculously expensive." He barked at one of the servants trying to fit a painting into the carriage.

"Yes, Master," Replied the servant as he successfully placed the painting in the carriage.

Seeing the painting safe in the carriage, Jason sauntered back into the house, with the hope of talking some sense into his brother because nothing made sense to him anymore. He didn't understand his brother's sudden urge to move out of the town without any vital reason. He was sure it wasn't for business because he had gone through his brother's belongings in search of any business-related document or letter, but none was found.
