As Gavin stood taunting Lily with the blood on his hand, Margaret strode into the room. She paused, eyebrows raised when she saw Lily. "Am I to take it Miss Morrison accepted your offer?" she asked Greer, handing him a clipboard of papers and a pen. “I’m Margaret, by the way,” she told Lily. “Greer’s executive assistant. If there’s anything you need, let me know.”
"Hello, Margaret, I'm looking forward to working with you," Lily said, forcing a smile. She still wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea, but Barbara had made up her mind, and Lily was smart enough to know when she was beat. But Lily wished Greer would stop standing there grinning like that. Just because she’d accepted her fate didn’t mean she still wasn’t angry at him.
"You have an appointment in five minutes, but I need your signature on those documents first," Margaret told Greer, getting back to business. "Penelope will be happy to onboard Lily."
