Penelope walked over to a large piece of furniture covered in a dust cloth in the corner of Lily's new office. Then, like a magician with a tablecloth, she pulled it off in one swift motion, revealing a gleaming baby grand piano. "Do you play?" she asked Lily.
"Unfortunately, no," Lily answered. "But it's beautiful."
"It's Greer's," Penelope said. "This room was empty before you came. He used to come in here to be alone and play."
"Is he any good?" Lily asked. “I would love to hear him play sometime.”
"He's fantastic. After all, he's had hundreds of years to practice. I can have it removed if you prefer, but I have the feeling you wouldn't mind Greer coming in here to visit once in a while."
"Don't even say that!" Lily cried in horror. "My boss, Barbara, would hit the roof if she suspected that anything was going on between us. It's no joking matter."
"Say no more," Penelope said. "I can't even remember what we were talking about."
