By the time she had heard from Bun-Bun again, Rowan had managed to talk to several of the smaller animals. She convinced them to go through the compound and make things more difficult for the bad people.
She had just finished talking to a few of the foxes when she saw a flash of white racing up to her. Bun-Bun danced at her feet as she hurriedly showed Rowan snippets of what she heard from Fyn’s door before the bunny was forced to run. Rowan thanked her gratefully and asked if Bun-Bun could find someone to bring Fyn the keys right before midnight. Burger perked up and offered, but Rowan quickly shut him down.
Bun-Bun ran off, happily telling Rowan that she would help the Fyn-man, and all would be well. Rowan sincerely hoped that was true.
She hurried to the nearest man and explained what she knew.
“I’m sorry… I don’t understand what is going on,” the man stated, looking at Rowan like she was insane.
