Chapter 37: Spring Break

“Why would I want to go to a spring break bonfire?” Lucien asked Parker when she presented the idea to him.

Parker sighed and shrugged.

“Well, Lissa is definitely going to be there, and that means Drake will be. It would be a good way to keep an eye on them,” she pointed out. Lucien raised an eyebrow at her.

“You make a compelling argument,” Lucien said. He grabbed Parker’s waist and pulled her into his lap.

Parker giggled, squirming against him. Lucien held her tightly though, and eventually, Parker relented, collapsing against him.

Lucien tilted his head at Parker, looking down at the outfit she was wearing. She’d put on a short skirt and a lowcut shirt. It was bold for her.

“I’m curious about the outfit,” Lucien admitted. Parker giggled.

“I thought you might need a little more convincing,” she admitted. Lucien smirked.

“Believe me, I am kicking myself for giving in so easily,” he told her. Parker bit her lower lip.
