chapter 15

Jake's pov, I awoke from the dream in a daze, it felt so vivid, like I was literally there.

my head was pounding in pain as my hole room was vibrating from the thumping beat of music.

"Ugh, can't you keep your music down Sam?" I muttered as I covered my head with my pillow.

"since there's no way I'm going back to sleep. might as well get up..." I grumbled as I sat up and stretched.

I picked my phone up from the nightstand to check the time, the clock read '5:40 pm', and over one hundred multi-player moble game invites from Sam.

I reached down and opened the drawer in my nightstand, inside was a black box, I opened it and blood packs laid on the inside.

the problem was, there was only one pint-sized packs left.

I heavily relied on this blood to keep me 'stable', I've only drank directly from a human twice, and for some odd reason this blood tasted ten times better, the taste and texture was different from the other humans I've drank from.

the blood of the two humans was thick in texture and with a salty/irony taste, while this blood was a lot smoother, and sweeter in taste.

and since Sam was the one getting the blood for me I've never bothered to ask who's blood it is and where he got it from.

or maybe I didn't want to know where someone like Sam gets blood for a vampire...

heading down the stairs while drinking the blood pack the music got louder and louder as I approached the living room.

I rounded the hall leading into the living room, and as expected Sam was lounging on the couch with a cloud covering the intire sciling.

the large speaker was flashing rainbow as it played Sam's Playlist while he played video games.

I walked over to the the speaker and turned it down, to ease my throbing head, Sam looked over at me with wide, bloodshot eyes, he opened his mouth, but no words formed.

"you're too damn loud..." I grumbled as I placed my hand on my head, "my head's fucking killing me..."

"ehh, you'll be fine, you're a vampire, headaches will disappear quickly for you, as long as you drink the blood..." Sam rambled as he took another drag from his blunt.

"speaking of blood, I'm out of the packs you gave me." I said as I finished off the last drop of the blood pack.

"you are?" Sam questioned me without looking away from his game, "did you drink more then the amount I allowed you?"

"no, I made sure to drink once a week like you told me." I stated as I watched the screen, "I think I should be good for a couple weeks, no more then that though."

"hmm." Sam muttered, as the game ended.

"couldn't you get more?" I asked as I walked towards the fridge to grab a water bottle.

"what?" Sam questioned as he loitered over to the fridge.

"since you're the one who got the blood, couldn't you get it again?" I asked as I sat down on the leather couch.

"nope, no can do, that was a one time thing bro." Sam shook his head and Sat back down.

"guess I'll just have to find another way then..." I muttered as I watched Sam start playing his game again.

suddenly a loud banging came from the front door, I looked over at Sam and he had a confused expression on his face.

"hmm, maybe it's the food?" He said as he looked over to me, "mind getting the door, here's the money."

with a grunt, I grabbed the money from his hand.

walking towards the door, a shiver went down my spine as killing intent assaulted my entire being, my inter body was telling me to run, but my heart was pounding with excitement.

I looked back at Sam, his normal carefree expression was replaced with a serious one, his dark green eye's sharpened as he glanced back an forth between the door and me.

another bang came from the door, I took a deep breath, and went to open it.

after opening the door, I was met with a pair of dark, blood red eye's, the had an annoyed glint in them.

her red brows knitted as she looked into my eye's, her crimson hair was sweeped to the left, resting on her shoulder, she was wearing the same clothes I saw her in before, but the only difference was they were now covered in blood.

her expression darkened even more for some reason.

'is she is expecting something?' I thought to myself, as she crossed her arms under her chest.

she opened her mouth to speak but I quickly closed the door and locked it, running back over to sam, he looked at me with a confused expression.

"who was it, was it the food?" He asked hopefully.

I looked at him with a tired expression, "no, it's not the food, unless the person delivering the food is a pissed off redhead, then yes."

he looked at me curiously, and pulled out his laptop, opened it, and displayed a screen with multiple camera angles, in too of the frames was the woman, her face was now contorted in anger, with visible vains popping out around her head.

she muttered something as she lifted her hand as it formed into a fist, and started to viciously bang on the door.

"the fuck did you do bro!?" Sam shrieked at me, with terror in his eye's.

"I didn't do anything!" I defended myself, "well, I might of slammed the door in her face..."

"well no wonder she mad..." he muttered as he got up and walked towards the door.

"what did I tell you about sleeping with random women?" He scolded.

"the crazy ones will always find you..." I muttered.

"that's right, now let the master deal with this situation." Sam stated as he slammed his fist on his chest.

"but I never slept with her bro..." I said with a blank expression.

he froze in his tracks, spun around on his heels, looked at me with squinting eyes, and over to the camera's.

after a few seconds, his face pailed, he turned back towards the door and opened it.

the expression on her face could only be considered pure rage, her eye's were glowing dangerously, and he lips formed into a snarl.

luckily, Sam is good at talking to people.

"how can I help you?" He gave her a car salesman smile.
