Elise' pov, "fine, do whatever you want, but don't try taking Jake's room again, he's possessive of his thing's." Sam laughed at he turn away from me.
is that really it? that's all the fight he's putting up, don't they not want me here?
[stop complaining, they agreed to let you stay, that's all that matters right?] the hooded woman appeared beside me.
[I suppose... but it's strange, why did this one just give in like that?]
ever since the first time the woman showed up in my head, she would speak freely, without a care about anyone around. but that's when I realized that she was not physically here. she appears in my head, and we talk in my head.
the only conclusion I came to was, telepathy.
[meh, doesn't matter why. all that matters now is winning over Jake.] the hooded woman said dismissively as she leaned against the back of the couch Sam was sitting on.
[fine... I get it, why do you care so much about him?] I asked the cloaked woman.
she looked up towards the Ceiling and sighed, she then looked back at me, revealing glowing red eye's with thin cat-like pupils.
[why I do thing's don't concern you. this is a mutual beneficial solution for both our problems, that's all you need to know.] she said in the same carefree tone.
I suppose that's the best answer I'll get out of her. she placed me on his path, Made me clean up his messes, and make sure he was in good hands.
she says that this is beneficial for both of us but I don't feel that way yet. while he is initially strong, he's nowhere near strong enough for what I need him for.
'ugh, I guess I'll have to nurture him until he's good enough...' I thought to myself.

Jake's pov, after shoving her out of my room I decided to play some video games. after an hour, my phone started to buzz. I picked up my phone to see what notification I got.
"redhead is staying, ordering food and starting the fire, get your ass outside." I read the text I got from Sam out loud.
'wait a damn minute, why the hell is she staying here!?' I screamed internally as I remembered the pressure that radiated off of her.
I shook my head, realizing that I still don't have a shirt on, I went to grab a black long-sleeved shirt, as well as putting on a pair of jeans.
walking down the hallway I noticed a door to one of the spare rooms was opened, with a sliver of light glowing through the crack.
I didn't bother to peak inside because I already know it's that woman in there. I don't know if it's just intuition, but it wasn't a guess, I knew she was in there. I could hear her heartbeat, as well as feel her presence in the room.
I don't know why but her presence somehow reminded me of the blood that I've been drinking for the last three year's.
I started to fall in a trance with each beat of her heart.
'I need to get out of here.' I thought to myself as I shook my head.
after heading downstairs in order to find Sam, I grabbed a drink from the fridge and headed out to where we usually start fires.
the tree's danced with the slight breeze as I walked along the side of the house.
I started to think of the trance-like feeling of her heartbeat.
it felt familiar. I can't quite place where I first felt a feeling similar to that.
'maybe it was when I first drank directly from a living human?' I thought to myself as I rapped my fingers around my chin.
'nope, can't be. mainly because I can't remember drinking from anyone. it was always fuzzy.' I shutdown that thought.
"ehh, it's a problem for future me." I sighed as I stretched.
it didn't take much longer for me to reach Sam.
he was sitting on a lawn chair, facing the half-assed pile of garbage and wood. he had a joint in his hand as he leaned back in the chair, he looked over his shoulder and looked up at me with bloodshot eye's.
"yo, Jake, what took you so long?" Sam asked with a grin.
"I was playing some video games when you texted me." I said as I walked closer.
"anyways, where's the food?" I asked.
"and is this really safe?" I questioned as I pointed towards the pile of garbage and wood.
"sure it is." Sam stated with a wave of his hand, "oh and the food should be here any minute."
I looked up at the sky, thinking about everything that has happened in the last few years. the people i thought where my family where slaughtered, the creature made of black flames, finding out I've been a damn vampire this hole time.
but right now the only thing that really bothered me was Ziek and Lanka.
'I hope there alright...' I thought to myself.
"what are you two doing?" a familiar voice called out from behind me.
I turned around to see the redheaded woman walking towards us.
and for a second, a hooded woman appeared beside her with a giant grin on her face.
'who was that, and why does she feel familiar?' I questioned internally without changing facial expressions.
"nothing much red." Sam said as smoke bellowed out of his mouth, "why, what to be included?"
I could tell the same spine numbing presence was still coming off of her, but this time it felt weaker.
she looked me in the eye's. her eye's were glowing red, she seemed confused, probably because I didn't have any sort of fear or intimidation in my expression.
honestly, I felt nothing. it's quite strange, this type of thing happens alot. the first time I experience something intimidating, or flat out terrifying, I feel everything ten fold. but the next time I experience it, it's like I've seen it thousands of times.
"it's not red, you know my name..." she growled.
"huh. but your a redhead, so red is a logical nickname. "Sam rebutted with a smirk.
