Ivy shook her head and hoped this would somehow disentangle herself from this cobweb of emotions rising in her.
“Andrew, please. I am sure there is a reason you travelled so far out to the outskirts of the city,” Ivy pleaded. These feelings he was igniting in her felt so wrong and yet so right. She wanted him to stop…perhaps!
“Is there somewhere we can sit and talk?” Andrew asked as he seemed to give up on tormenting her some more.
“Yes. Come with me,” Ivy replied. She led him towards an open terrace, moving on jelly legs. D*mn that man’s touch did pack a punch!
They both made themselves comfortable on the Rattan out-door couches.
Ivy laced her fingers together and placed them on her lap to stop herself from fidgeting. This was also a clever way to hide the fact that she was still trembling from Andrew.
“You didn’t tell me you had children,” Andrew began.
Ivy laughed. “Why? Don’t I look like someone who could be a mom?”
