Matthew Reed, a handsome and orphan millionaire, suddenly becomes ill and seeks ways for treatment. He comes across a mysterious company called "Cryolife" that allegedly freezes people with diseases that still don't have a cure. Matthew decides to go through the procedure and wakes up 1078 years later, realizing that not everything is perfect like he thought it would be.

In this new world, people are mentally developed and the ones like Matthew, who came from the past, have no chance against them. With the help of new friends, he tries to find a way to survive amongst the exclusion, love and mourn.  

Due to his strong character and his love for a developed human, Matthew fights for the sake of all people who were oppressed by the system. Will he be able to adapt to this new world? Will he find a way to make the ones from the past live in harmony with the ones from the future?

Matthew was glad that he could learn what happened to the world and how developed people became like this. Before Cryolife he would have never guessed that these things could happen. It felt surreal to him. 


He suddenly felt eager to tell all the things he learned from Ava to Rex, Helen and Inna. It would make them understand this world better. 


Matthew helped Ava with the acorns as he offered. He learned that the black metal box that Ava put the acorns in was a little oven and it would make them as soft as one liked. After that, they put the acorns in a gel which gave them the sugary taste Matthew liked the day before.


One time Matthew couldn't stop himself from asking her, 


"What's the importance of oak trees? They're everywhere. Even in Cryolife."


"Oak tree is the one which lasted for so long after so many other kinds were destroyed. We celebrate its survival this way."
