REM'S POV
Bloodied, bruised, and in pain, Rem finally opened their eyes. They glanced up at the translucent, purple-tinged dome above them and wondered again why Rowan had gone to the effort of saving them from the flames. The little pocket of space was only barely big enough for Rem to lay in while in their serval form and was the only unburned area they could see. The noise and heat had been intense, barely held back by the barrier for hours. The reek of smoke and soot burned Rem's sensitive nose, blocking out almost every other scent.
Rem put their head down on their paws and replayed the fire in their mind. They'd miscalculated and only ended up further into the burning portion of the shop with no exit. They'd been trapped by the falling ceiling, terrified, with no way of escaping and more debris threatening to come down on them.
