Chapter 57: Elevator Girls

Nori grabbed a key card off the side table and stuck it in her pocket. She slipped into her boots and scribbled a message on a pad of paper, closing the door silently behind her.

She waited for the elevator. It dinged and opened, but there was a woman in it.

Blonde hair and a sweet, heart-shaped face gave her a sweet innocent look. Her elegant black dress hugged her figure and her lips were a very rich shade of red. An expensive scent hung around her like a cloud.

The woman didn’t even acknowledge Nori as she passed, her stiletto heels clicking crisply on the marble floor.

Nori got into the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor. Just as the door was closing the woman in the black dress stopped and turned to look at Nori with a steely gaze.

A chill crawled up Nori’s spin as the doors dinged shut. A feeling of dread made her stomach queasy.

The doors dinged and she stepped out cautiously.

To her left came the sounds of clinking cutlery.
