 Alex busied herself at work in an attempt to make the work week go by more quickly. The task wasn't difficult this time of year, seeing that the fiscal year-end was upon her. At this stage in her life, she lived for the weekends, which offered free time to spend with Peter and the couples group. Things were finally looking up.


At the sound of the end of the day work whistle, Alex leaped from her office chair and hustled to her SUV. She needed to stop at the grocery store on her way home to pick up a few items she needed to bring to Jeff and Kate's for Saturday's dinner and game night. She knew she wouldn't have time to go to the store on Saturday because she planned to watch the twins play football and rearrange her living room. Slowly but surely, she was making long, overdue changes in her house - minor changes, but changes nonetheless.
