As he approaches, her aching heart beats in her chest like a jackhammer. And then Orion was next to her, kneeling on the ground beside her.
“You know, this used to be my favorite hiding spot,” he says.

“I started training to be Alpha when I was six years old. Whenever the training got too tough, this is where I’d come. It was always peaceful, a way to escape from the pressure.”
Rain stared down at the water, her imagination running wild.
