Not every wolf is lucky enough to be born into a pack.

Some had the misfortune to be birthed by rogues.

Banished from the shifters society, Rogues are branded as criminals and treated as less than. Cut off from their packs, most barely last a few years before losing their minds as well.

When it rains

The two mates stood before one another. Rain, a determined look upon her face as she declared her intent to look, and Orion, an Alpha stood with a mix of emotions flashing through his face. 


A long silence stretched between them with no end in sight. Rain frowned, half expecting a raging monster to come out. 


With everything that she’d heard about Alphas, she never expected Orion to reach forward and grasp her into a hug. 


“Please,” He whispered, “Don’t leave.” 


Rain froze in place at the tenderness of his voice but not even that was going to stop her. 


She pulled out of his warm arms, holding herself around the waist as she backed away. 


His sad eyes looked at her as she walked away but he did nothing else. 


“I don’t know how to love you,” Orion finally admitted, “I don’t know what to say to make you stay and everything I do is wrong.” 


“Why?” Rain bit her lips, regretting it as soon as it poured from her lips. She didn’t have to know. She didn’t want to know.
