“Luna, what do we do?”
“What’s going to happen to us?”
The pack surrounded her. Rain swallowed as they berated her with questions, their eyes pleading.
A hand grasped her own within the chaos and Rain flinched.
“Breathe,” Liana told her. “Then make a decision.”
She breathed in and then out.
Determination crossed her features and she nodded at Liana, who smiled.
“Jax, take Hugo to Dr. Lewis immediately. Connor, take the best fighters,” Rain ordered.
“Yes, Luna,” Jax and Connor both nodded.
“Liana, take Accalia and gather those who can’t fight. Children, pregnant women, elders, take them to…” Rain hesitated.
“There’s a safe house underneath the Main packhouse,” Liana said, “We’ll take them there.”
Rain nodded.
“Dr. Lewis needs help to treat the wounded, anyone can who please make your way over there. Warriors who aren’t going to the border, make sure to guard the packhouse," Rain commanded. “Tell anyone who isn’t here what’s going on.”
