Asiris plowed through the Ikes that came upon him, for he was too aware of their movements.
The Ikes found themselves sliced and diced before they could even make the move.
Micah was doing quite the same too, blocking each strike that tried to finish him.
Suddenly, he heard someone screaming, "Get some men in the frontlines, break the breakthrough!"
He used that as a cue, as he called all the teenagers in the group.
Peter was the only one that came, which gave Micah a sense of worry.
"What happened?" he asked.
"The Ikes are trying to stop a breakthrough or something, but it sounds bad—follow me."
Peter did so, quickly following him at a fast speed. Ikes started to chase them, but no chance was settled for the soldiers were always in their way.
"Why would they say break the breakthrough?" Peter asked Micah.
"I have no idea," he said. "In fact, that's what we're finding out!"
They abruptly stopped as they looked upon what seemed to be like a sledgehammer view cutting through the Ike army.
"That's the breakthrough!" Peter shouted. "We're trying to split the Ikes!"
"Well, let's hurry up!" The confusion faced amongst the boys was conspicuous. The teenage part of the group was apparently there, although they didn't arrive when Micah called.
"Well where were you guys?" Micah asked. Xavier chuckled, "Dealing with some menaces."
He showed his sword which the stains were deeply enhanced by the sun, horrifying the group.
"So, where's Asiris and Caville?" Vienne asked, looking around the battlefield.
"I don't know, but we need to keep this war on our side."
"So what's the plan?" Xavier asked, as Peter stared across the view—clicking up with a plan.
"So, we know that the Ikes are going to fail when they get split up. That means we need to keep this intact by doing a section. If we see one failing—we help that side, which we need to be intact okay?"
"Okay."
"Alright, let's go!"
The leadership was admired which made Peter feel very leader-like, giving him a feeling of confidence and bravery.
He believed this war would be won if they just did their part.
They were now in the breakthrough, which Ikes were piling up in the thousands.
Peter came in fast, using Caville's method of making a move before anyone could notice.
He swung his sword, plowing through the Ikes, kicking, fighting, keeping the Ikes from killing him.
Micah was a bit more subtle, blocking each sword strike to tire them, then killing them before they even noticed.
Either way, the strategy was working—as they were keeping the line intact and strong.
Vienne and Xavier then split up, where Xavier went to Peter and Vienne went to Micah.
"Fight men, we won't fail now!" Xavier shouted, bringing up the mood surprisingly quickly.
"Nice one," Peter commented, as Xavier responded, "Thank you."
They continued to keep fighting, until Peter noticed something that was quite disturbing towards him.
Micah wasn't going to the Ikes, the Ikes were going to him.
So Peter quickly turned his way towards Micah, which Xavier also moved so his chances of dying would dwindle. They all fought valiantly on each other's sides, dodging swings, kicking chests, and perhaps pushing back the Ikes.
The victory was almost in their lips, all except Micah. Once he turned around, he felt something sharp go between his chest and stomach.
He felt a big bolt of pain, as his eyes started to blur and he was losing stability.
"Help!" he shouted, as it turned very shrill.
He staggered before he fell on the floor, attracting Peter.
"Micah!" he shouted, as he quickly—and absolutely— sliced the life out of Ike.
"Micah!" he shouted, dropping on the floor and unbearably seeing his pale face.
The scream of pain almost hurt more than any slice that could even touch Peter's body.
"Hey, hey—are you okay?" Peter asked, as he stared at the wound.
"Oh no," Peter cried. "Medic!"
Immediately, medics with a stretcher quickly came towards the scene.
They picked him up, which he was heavy and it took much slower than wanted.
Micah's cries of pain were nerve-racking as if it was making Peter furious every time he screamed.
Then, he felt someone come behind him, which he could identify to a person who had a white uniform.
"Micah!" Asiris shouted, as he rushed over to the medical bed.
"What's going on?" Caville asked, which she now just found the group.
"Micah got hit with the sword from an Ike," the medic explained. "He has a deep wound."
"Well, is he going to survive?"
"Yes, because it never hits the heart—but he might have to be careful the way he moves," the medic on the other side assured.
Asiris sighed, which it seemed as if it was a sigh of relief—but then he kicked the dirt, spraying it around.
"Why him!" he shouted, covering his face in shame and worry.
"It's okay," Caville said. "Look, we're gonna save him—but there is a battle we must return to."
Asiris sighed.
"You're right, we need to get to that general—and kill him."
"Whoa!" Xavier immediately protested, which he was forthwith against the idea. "How are you going to do that?"
"I've done a lot of things in my life," he said, taking out his sword. "This isn't any different."
