Spirit Tower

Surveying his surroundings, Saber noticed an elderly-looking man that was standing outside of the platform and gazed at him as if trying to peer into Saber's secrets.

"Follow me!" He said, before walking off.

Saber followed behind the elder and analyzed his new surroundings. Unlike the external section, the Outer Sect had a lot more Sage energy and Saber even evaluated that if he had stayed here for a few days, he would have been easily able to reach the Spirit Foundation realm.

Along with that, unlike the external section which seemed to be dead, here inside of the Outer Sect seemed to be a lot more lively, probably because most cultivators have a fairly long lifespan and weren't bothering to cultivate for every second of their life.

Saber also had an increase in his lifespan according to his system. Instead of 1,000 years of life, he now had 1,050 years which surprised him since it was only an increase in one realm of Sage cultivation.

One must know that Saber's lifespan had only increased after entering the Energy Maneuvering realm. Anyway, following the elder, Saber had reached a building that looked similar to the Elder Hall.

The only difference was the fact that the Hall had five levels and had a better-looking quality than the old and run-down-looking Elder Hall in the external section. There was a sweet scent emanating from the Hall which by merely smelling, Saber's cultivation improved a little. He had a slightly surprised face and the elder in front of him saw this, and decided to explain.

"I normally do not do this to someone who has just come out of the external section of the sect. But, similarly to the female cultivator yesterday, you have an immense amount of talent that could allow you to enter the Spirit Foundation realm in a mere two weeks after entering the external sect." The elder said as if he was going out of his way to help Saber understand the workings of the Outer Sect.

He then continued..."The first floor of this building is where newbies such as yourself come to register to enter the Outer Sect, and also where they can get a house to stay in for the next month. Of course, after a month one will have to pay a certain amount of Spirit Stones to continue living inside of the house. Hence, you'll find many individuals outside heading toward the 'Mortal World' to do missions." He said while pointing toward the many individuals who were entering different teleportation platforms.

The elder then continued, "The second floor is where the mission hall is, this is where you can get the missions that give Spirit Stones. The third hall is the weapons hall where you are able to gain any sort of weapon, but mostly swords which is quite obvious from our name Sword Art Sect."

While saying that, he pointed toward the flying sword cultivators and then continued with his explanation,

"The fourth floor is where the alchemist does their things, hence the reason why your nose was assaulted with such a smell. I do not know much about alchemy, but I do know that they are very important for our Outer Sect disciples." He said, but then Saber chipped in.

"You say it as if they aren't that important for the disciples in the Inner Sect?" Saber said with a questioning gaze.

"Haha, the disciples of the Inner Sect do not need alchemist because of treasures. But, it matters not even if you know, since it's hardly likely you'll ever reach inside the Inner Sect.

Anyway, the fifth floor is a massive battle arena where life and death battles between disciples who can't get along with each other fight. Every death battle earns the winner hundreds to thousands of Spirit Stones! " He said, once again shocking Saber as he asked.

"But, isn't that bad for the sect. If you guys lose disciples so easily, wouldn't it weaken you?" Saber asked once more. He was beginning to gain interest in the beings who made the rules of this sect.

The elder then cleared his doubts, "No, the Outer Disciples are allowed to fight and kill each other since the Great Sect Leader wants competitiveness between disciples. The Great Sect Master says quality is better than quantity. Our Sect is the strongest in the world and that's because we have the most quality out there."

While speaking about the Sect Master, the old man had reverence clear in his eyes. Saber on the other hand had long lost interest in the old man's words and was instead focused on the tall tower that the elder hadn't yet explained. It was a tower that had a height of around 100-meters and also radiated an immense amount of Sage Energy causing a golden hue to surround it.

Seeing the rudeness of Saber, the old man didn't get angry since it was quite common. He then gestured for Saber to follow him as they entered the first floor of the Elder Hall. Saber couldn't help but ask the old man.

"Hey, what was that tower? It radiated a lot of Sage energy that could quicken anyone's cultivation speed." He was truly interested in that. If he could spend a substantial amount of time inside of it, reaching the Golden Core realm is as easy as breathing, especially with his speed in breaking through realms.

"You shouldn't bother thinking that you'll be able to spend any time inside there. It costs a few hundred Spirit Stones simply to stay there for a few days. I am sure you probably only have around 30 or so Spirit Stones from finishing one mission." He said with a smile on his face. He wanted to see Saber's shocked face after hearing such a humungous amount of Spirit Stones was needed to spend only a few days.

But, instead of being shocked, Saber only smiled as he remembered a certain floor that the elder had previously spoken of. Saber then went on to ask the elder while they approached the counter which had a young-looking dark-haired female on the other side.

"Elder, did you not say there is a certain floor where I can earn thousands of Spirit Stones in almost no time." Saber said with a smile that kept growing wider. It started as a smile that caused many females in the surroundings to blush. But, in but a mere few seconds, it turned to them feeling chills crawling up their spines.

The elder was also slightly creeped out by the smile that reached to Saber's ears, but he answered Saber's question. "Yes, there is such a floor, but one must know that for you to even fight against someone in a death battle, the two parties must be willing. Well, that is unless the person who is doing the challenging is in a lower realm than the person he/she is challenging."

The smile on Saber's face increased even more after hearing such words as the temperature in the surroundings began to drastically drop. Saber began leaking out something that the surrounding disciples couldn't recognize, but it was something that the elder could.

'Killing Intent?!!'

He shouted in his mind, his face contorting into a frown as he realized the person in front of him has most probably killed a lot of creatures. But, since it had nothing to do with him, he did not care much.
