The Past

Bam!

A punch to the face sent the boy flying back. The couple of 16 year-olds that surrounded him had smiles on their faces as they continued to beat him.

"Haha, look at you. You look like a girl!" One of the boys said to the fragile-looking teen on the ground. He had pale skin and multiple feminine features such as long eyelashes, thin cherry red lips, and long night-black hair tied in a ponytail. Along with those features, his pale skin could make him seem to be more female than male.

Bam!

But, as these kids were about to continue their beating, a punch landed on the back of one of the bully's heads as a female rushed into the alleyway and began beating them. She seemed to be a younger version of Noelle with night-black hair, pale skin, and bright blue eyes. She had an hourglass figure and at this moment had blood on her fists as she wrecked the group of bullies who had dared look down on her brother.

Thereafter, she hurriedly went to see if her brother was alright. Unlike what one would think, the boy seemed to have gotten annoyed with the appearance of his sister as he weakly got up and left the alleyway while ignoring her.

Noelle only smiled bitterly seeing her brother's stubbornness. It was like that since childhood, he wanted to be more manly while she simply wanted to protect her brother. Every time he got into a fight and she saved him, this would be the reaction.

A Few Days Later...

A long line separated Noelle and the examiner. She had reluctantly separated from her brother when it was decided that there would be a line for males and another for females.

After a couple of hours of waiting, it was finally the turn of the siblings as they immediately and without hesitation followed the instruction of the examiner and placed their hands on the obsidian-colored stone pillar.

10

3

Those two numbers were shown on the pillars thereafter, Noelle immediately regretted ever coming for the assessment. She regretted listening to her brother's pestering to come here since she now had no chance of protecting her brother. Unlike Saber who was alone and had no family, those who had a family sometimes reject the thought of entering a sect since only Inner Disciples are allowed to leave their sect when not for missions.

Now that Noelle had a talent of 10 and her brother with a talent of 3, she would be separated from her brother for quite a long time. Immediately, she felt an intense emotion of hate toward her talent and rushed to her brother's side who had begun to seemingly falter. He looked as if he was about to faint, and just as Noelle was about to reach out to him, she was stopped by the hand of the examiner as he said...

"Right now, you are to take this and rip it. Do not bother thinking about your brother's situation since we will see about him. But, as of now, the both of you live in completely different worlds." He said while handing her a talisman. Though she wanted to refute, seeing the cold and indifferent eyes of the examiner, she was left with no choice but to weakly nod her head and rip the talisman.

Two Weeks Later...

It's been two weeks since Noelle entered the external section of the Sword Art Sect. When the true exams had begun after she had been teleported. Noelle had planned to lose so that she could rush back to her brother, but the cold eyes she received from the elder made her reject such an idea. After coming first place, she along with two others then entered the sect where she immediately began looking for ways to go back home.

Luckily for her, she realized that she merely needed to enter the Spirit Connection realm and then take up a mission. Surely after exiting she'll be able to find her brother when she escapes from the sect. And, that's what she did. After two weeks of continuous cultivation, she entered the Spirit Connection realm and also accepted a mission.

Leaving the sect, she traveled quite a distance before she found her way to her hometown. Though she had a bad feeling in her chest, she place it aside and headed toward her previous home. Approaching the front door, she knocked on it and was surprised by the fact that she did not receive a reply.

Just as she was about to open the door to the house, she was shocked to hear the topic spoken by one of the passersby. It seemed that for the past few weeks, there seemed to have been a new and rather famous pleasure worker that has made all the perverted old and even some young men enter the pleasure house.

When hearing this, and then assessing the situation. Recalling all the history her brother had with those bullies and the words spoken, Noelle immediately bolted toward the pleasure house located a few kilometers away. As soon as she reached, she was stopped by the guards at the front door.

She didn't have any time to deal with them, so she immediately knocked them out using her outstanding strength. Blasting open the front door, she appeared in a lobby. She immediately rushed up the stairs that were located by the wall and then entered a hallway that had many doors.

She blasted open every door and saw disgusting sights that she never wished to see, until, she blasted open a door and found the person that she escaped from the grasps of the Sword Art Sect just to see. He was at this moment being ravaged by more than four men who were both young and old.

While he was being assaulted in the behind by a young man with shoulder-length hair, his eyes contained no emotions, as if he was a doll.

Dim and Lifeless.

The young man was then missing a head that was sliced off from his neck in but a mere second since Noelle had long taken out her sword and began to wildly slash in all directions.

As tears fell from the edges of her eyes, she blamed herself for allowing such disgusting things to happen to her brother. She hated her talent even more now because this was what caused her to be separated from her brother, she blamed the Sword Art Sect for not allowing her to leave the sect but, most of all, she blamed those cold and indifferent eyes which caused her to hesitate when she wanted to go to her brother.

That day, a massacre took place throughout the whole town. The elders of the Sword Art Sect knew about this but did nothing. It wasn't as if they were a righteous sect, everyone knew they were the only neutral sect in the world.

(Present time)

With an almost impassive and expressionless gaze, Saber continuously stomped down on Noelle's unmoving body. Her eyes had long turned dull as her pale and cold skin made it obvious that she had died for some time now, yet, Saber still did not stop stomping on her body.

"I expected more from you...from a Golden Core cultivator. At the very least, you could have gotten up with a few broken ribs to fight me." Saber grumbled while stamping his foot on Noelle's face. The spectators in the surroundings all had faces of disbelief but...

Boom!

With one last stomp, Saber destroyed Noelle's head and turned it into blood mist and guts.
