Killing Wouldn't Kill

A Low-Level World.

It was a world where there weren't many if any mortals who entered the path of cultivation.

Mid-Level World.

This was the most common world in the universe, as in every galaxy, there are many worlds filled with cultivators who reach Half-Step Immortal.

These worlds would have normal Mortals who don't cultivate and have mortals who entered the path of cultivation and had reached the level of Half-Step Immortals.

Then, there were the High-level Worlds...

These worlds all had lifeforms who had transcended what could be distinguished as Mortal and were the ones who had truly stepped on the path of Godhood.

The only way to claim the title of a High-Level world would be to have in it, more than 1 Immortal-level cultivator.

Finally, were the Ultra-Level Worlds where the number of Immortal Cultivators had reached an unknown limit, and the world was forced to undergo a transformation... an evolution.

Ultra-Level worlds are worlds that wouldn't survive the evolving process, as they would then become dead planets, stranded in the void of space.

But, what about those worlds that had survived undergoing the process of evolving..?

These worlds would go against all expectations and succeed in their mutation.

These worlds would evolve into something beautiful, otherworldly, and truly superb!

And it was a world of such a grand title, a title of Superb-Level World, this was the world where Saber and his group had entered, to partake in a tournament that would see the future protectors of this galaxy, and eventually, the entirety of the human race!..

...

...

...

"W-What did you say!!" Saber blurted out in shock and hidden anger as he gritted his teeth due to the pure wrath he currently felt.

Seeing that the actual tournament wouldn't begin until two months from now, Saber wouldn't have minded it since their group did finish their tournament way quicker than anyone would expect.

But, to add even more bitterness, the Stellar King relayed to Saber, and the others were now told the true reason why their blood was taken.

Yes, it was to clarify they were human, but more importantly, it was to register them on the one thing that would prevent Saber from actually devouring the existence of his opponents.

...

...

...

"We never got to finish our battle, did we?" Liam would say to Saber as the group sat around a table filled with exquisite foods. Saber ignored everyone else, as his mood hadn't recovered one bit over the past few hours.

"If you can defeat Dawn, then I'll take you on..!" Instantly after realizing it wouldn't benefit him to simply sulk, Saber threw all the attention to a Dawn who had been continuously trying to hide from this exact attention he now got.

"W-What!??" Dawn would yelp in surprise. But, his plea to Saber would be ignored as Saber got up from his chair and after muffling Dawn's hair with a kind smile on his face, he would say... "Surely, someone as strong as you wouldn't have a problem with this..." A creepy smile then surfaced as he insisted, "Right...???"

Gulp!

'What's with this feeling?' Dawn thought. He suddenly felt like a kid being given unfair treatment by someone he trusted, by his own father...

Dawn would be left confused by it, and Saber would immediately walk off to his destination, which was a random bedroom in this hotel-like building that was reserved for only contestants...

...

...

...

"Leviathan, have you come up with a solution to this..?" Saber asked expectantly. Sitting on the bed, he watched expectantly toward the figure that materialized next to him with mysterious markings all around his face.

But, with a disappointed expression on his face, Leviathan replied...

"No, Master... It simply isn't possible to actually harm anyone through Virtual Reality, unless the difference between the cultivation is soo large that one can affect the soul of another who has a power a realm or two below."

Once hearing this, Saber was left slightly annoyed. His strength was currently at Level 3 True Earth Immortal. After devouring soo many talented individuals, he was ever close to breaking through once more and entering the Level 4 True Earth Immortal.

From Level 3 to Level 4... Like from Level 6 to Level 7, would bring a massive skyrocketing increase in one's strength.

Even though it wasn't accurate, and could be slightly higher or lower, Leviathan was able to discern from the current physical power of Saber, that after entering the Level 4 True Earth Immortal realm, Saber's physical prowess would spike incredibly...

Being able to obliterate multiple stars and planets would be simple! One must know that this action was something only those higher than Level 6 Earth Immortal can do.

This strength, even though it would just barely, it was something worth gaining the title of Stellar King, inside the Human Race.

Now realizing it was technically his fault seeing as he didn't have the power necessary to kill his opponent in the real world, Saber only let out a defeated smirk.

"Well, it would be impossible to win my future battles, unless I properly focus on my cultivation." Saber uttered under his breath...

"Two months... this is how much time I have to gain some proper insights into the Element of Primordial Chaos..." He would say.

This was what it meant to be an entity of the Primordial Chaos path. It was a path that would take any other lifeform multiple years to walk a mere ten steps when walking on that pathway of comprehension.

Why?

It was because of the true way of Primal Chaos... It was because gaining insight into the element Primordial Chaos isn't like gaining insight into other elements...

This one element was after all the Mother of all elements in existence.

To fully comprehend this element, is to fully comprehend all elements in totality. This was why when Saber's comprehension reached a certain level, he unlocked the ability to manipulate flames.

It wasn't just an ability of flames, but instead the ability to completely manipulate a certain level of flames in any way he desire.

Of course, it isn't so simple.

The time it takes to comprehend even for geniuses across the universe, would be soo long, that they'll use up all their lifespan before they could gain significant enough insight, that would be able to lengthen this lifespan anyway.

...

...

...

In the tournament in two months, every team would have five members.

Each member would be sent to one of the five cities inside Virtual Reality where battles amongst members of other teams would take place.

What made insights into one's comprehension the most important thing, was the fact that all participants would enter Virtual Reality with the same body!

All contestants would be comparable to the average Level 1 Earth Immortal in terms of Atomic energy and Sage energy... making the only thing to separate one's strength, would be the insights they can get when comprehending one's element.

According to the words of the Stellar King...

"The reason for this is simple. The time it takes one to comprehend their element, would portray the potential this person has for future cultivation.

If one takes thousands of years to see any visible improvement, the chances of this person entering the Profound Immortal Realm, which not even I have entered as of yet... is incredibly low!

If you aren't going to enter the next realm, you can't possibly call yourself a true genius of the Human Race...!!"
