Birth Of The Undead Army (3)

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

The staff in the Litch's hand struck Saber's bare body billions of times in a second, leaving symbols that looked like skeletons on his skin. Saber's skin paled immediately after...!

Urgh...

A weak groan escaped Saber's lips. His thin red lips were tantalizing, even more so than female models yet, as soon as these skeleton symbols appeared on his skin, his lips formed cracks as his skin aged at an unprecedented pace.

The speed at which his longevity left him intensified countless billions of times. One year, ten years, one hundred, one thousand, one million, one trillion, one quad-! Saber's eyes closed. A sudden heat assaulted his surroundings as the space burned.

The actions of the Litch stopped. He no longer attacked Saber as he instead made space between the two as a sense of crisis appeared in its senses.

Thrum! BOOM!

The undead that had just been reformed was instantly enveloped by a sea of flames!

Since the fight had begun, Adrianna had already rushed to the Outer region of the city to view the battle but, even then, she couldn't help but feel as if her skin was melting due to the heat radiating from the center of the city.

"It seems he has entered 'that' state..!" A large pillar that seemed to contain purple flames capable of burning anyone or thing to dust, shot from the center city's surface straight to the skies, penetrating the clouds.

This pillar... it was merely Saber's aura. All the undead in the core and the inner city had already been burnt to a crisp. Sensing this, Adrianna's mind understood what she had to do. With the battle that was about to ensue, the main disadvantage Saber had was the Litch's Immortality.

But, now that the Inner and Core region had no undead, the Outer region was the only place that had undeads for the Litch to rely on to be reborn and immortal. "Since I can't help with the battle itself, I'll help by making the fight a fair one!"

As she said this, a dark aura was released from her body. Immediately, every undead in her surrounding stopped moving.

Previously, they were seemingly unable to sense her due to one of her abilities but, now that they were also unable to move due to a mysterious shard made of darkness embedded into their shadows, they were all lambs for slaughter.

Adrianna didn't take her time either. The Outer region was the biggest. Just like any other city, the Outer region contained the commoners and peasants, the Inner region contain the nobles and the core region contained the most powerful, the royals. Although this wasn't how it was identified, the same logic worked here, hence, the Outer region had millions of undeads.

To kill them all, Adrianna would have to expend an insane amount of energy.

It wasn't merely to kill them after all, but instead, it was to kill them in mere moments as, if she waited for too long, although their regeneration wasn't as quick as those in the Core region, or even the Inner region, it was still perverted.

She also didn't have infinite energy like a certain Saber.

...

...

A pair of cold star-shaped pupils stared into the hollow eye sockets of a skeleton. Around his pupils were a few stars in his black sclera. This transformation wasn't the Perfected Star Form since he hadn't mastered such a form, even for his incredible regeneration of energy that made it seem as if he had infinite, he wouldn't be able to cope with it for too long.

But, what was this battle? It was one of attrition. He needed to be able to kill the thing in front of him but... he couldn't kill it once, instead, he needed to kill it billions of times in seconds to be able to do something to it.

Even then, it wasn't a guarantee he'll be able to kill it. Yet, even in the face of something like this, Saber's smirk hadn't disappeared. The aging on his body had already stopped, the symbols were burnt as a dark purple aura surrounded him, coating his skin, and giving them a purplish glow.

"Prepare to face something you never thought of experiencing..!"

These were his final words. As Saber's words resounded in his surroundings, his right arm disappeared. It wasn't due to it being sliced off or anything no... Saber's arm approached the Litch soo quickly that it created an illusion that Saber didn't have a right arm!

The surrounding space cracked as a void appeared. At the same time, back in the outer region, a massive illusionary black dome took form covering millions of miles... Every few microseconds, the dome would disperse and reappear millions of miles further away.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

Trillions of punches took place in the same second. Saber's fists penetrated the skeleton's body countless times as its regeneration was unable to keep up. Every time Saber's fist landed, the Litch's body exploded into flames.

At first, it took mere picoseconds for the revival of this Litch but soon, nanoseconds later, the Litch felt as if it was becoming impossible to keep up. As if something or someone was constantly destroying its creation, its army of undead, as if they were now becoming useless until...

Bam!

Saber's fist, which was previously coated in flames penetrated the Litch's body. Unlike the last time, the power contained in this fist was a few notches lower, making it possible for the Litch's body to not explode upon impact.

Saber's surroundings were completely devastated but Saber cared little. The fact that he could only act now... Saber didn't waste any time. His eyes flashed with a dark purple light that enveloped the world as a wicked aura sent shivers up the spine of even Adrianna countless miles away.

"Devour!"

Thrum!

Instantly, the dark purple aura converged into one point and enveloped the Litch's body. Eating away at everything, the clothing and the bones were devoured as if whatever it was contained an endless amount of gluttony.

Saber's eyes beamed for a moment as the dark purple aura that covered the skeleton's body became a small inch-sized ball of what seemed to be a silvery black aura. Hehe... Saber smirked as the ball shot between his brows.

Instantly, inside his mind, Saber felt as if something he shouldn't have forcefully merged with his very existence. Everything in this world had natural limitations... like devouring, it had its limits well, at least, this was supposed to be the case.

Boom!

Saber's aura withered away as his eyes closed and his body fell to the ground limply. The aura that plagued the core and inner region dispersed into nothing as Adrianna, who had beads of sweat dripping from her chin smirked upon seeing the undeads who threatened to reform drop to the ground.

An even wider grin formed upon sensing her longevity stop escaping her body. With merely physical strength, unable to use no, more like she didn't have any energy to use, she rushed toward the center of the city.

A few breaths of time passed and she reached it. This was where she saw the figure of Leviathan standing over Saber's body. Shock and confusion were obvious from his expression.

"Master's vitals isn't present. Even though he's much different, he still needs a beating heart!" Leviathan's android skin paled as he said, "Even I'm not sure what's happening... he was fine just a second ago!"

Unknown to either of them, something much different was given birth on this day.
