Ray's POV

No,this could not be happening!

Of all creatures she's a witch! This is not good, she's what my pack stands against.

Witches have always been rivals with wolves,vampires and griffins after the great war of the ancient elders in the past.

Mate's a witch,that's bad news.

I know she is and that's why I am going to reject her.

No! We are not rejecting her no matter what happens!

We have to! Have you forgotten what her kind did to us?! What it did to me!

That is not an excuse! We had a wonderful time with mate and we're probably the first people who know about this apart from her family.

No wonder she can't link.

I get up from the bed and stare at her. She looks frightened and scared.

"Please don't hurt me,"she pleads knowing that I wouldn't hesitate to kill her.

"I won't kill you,I'm going to reject you," I state plainly and switch to Alpha mode,causing her to whimper. That way, she'll know I'm serious.

"There is no way I am going to be mates with a witch."

Violet's POV

"I won't kill you,I'm going to reject you."

Those words shattered my heart,he's just like the rest of them,they don't give a damn about you,only work and shit. Why did I dump Ken if I knew that I was going to be rejected. What's the big deal with me being part witch,it's not like I'm full abracadabra or something.

"There is no way I am going to be mates with a lycan." That's it,there is no way I am gonna let him trash talk me.

"What's so wrong if I'm part witch?" I snarl and he grimaces at my defiance,his eyes flicking to gold and back.

"Everything! Every damn thing is wrong!" He barks out in full anger and his eyes turn a full shade of gold. His wolf is in charge now.

"Why can't this stupid fued between witches and wolves end?" I shout out, probably a wrong choice cause before I know it,he has me pinned to the wall.

"Your kind killed the only one that mattered to me,"he narrows his eyes at me. Wait, did he have another mate?

"My sister,"he growls out and loosens his hold on my neck but doesn't let go.

"Well I'm not the one that killed her am I ?" I roll my eyes at him but stop when I realise what I just said,where did that boldness come from.

"Not another word for from you or else I will have my hands jab through your chest and take out your heart!" He hisses.

My eyes flick to a dark shade of red," Go ahead,I dare you."

Ray's POV

"Go ahead,I dare you." That's not Violet.

I roar out and have my hands through her chest or it's what I think I did before her teeth sinks into my shoulder and she has me thrown to the other side of the room.A deadly aura filled the air.

She walks towards me and holds up my head," I am not going to let you hurt my vessel and don't even think of rejecting or else I'll have the all the wolf elders reject you."

I groan in pain and her eyes change back to her normal eyes.

"I'm so sorry,"she gasps out accessing my wounds,"I'm so sorry."

She holds my hands but then I feel a burning sensation,it feels like silver had just come in contact with my skin,I jerk my hands out of hers and she stands up looking hurt.

"Ray,so how did it-,"Desmond cuts himself short when he sees the blood gushing out of my wound.

"What did you do to my Alpha and why isn't he healing?" He bares his teeth at her and she whimpers.

"Alpha James," he calls out to her dad who hurriedly rushes in.

"Yes Desmond,what's wrong?" He asks and Desmond points to me.

"Violet,what did you do?" He turns towards her and then looks back at me," I just linked with the pack doctor,he should be here in any minute."

I groan and nod then take a look at Violet. She was crying,it hurts me to see my mate cry but there's nothing I can do,her kind is just too brutal.

"Alpha, we'll need to take him to the Intensive Care unit,he's lost too much of blood." The doctor rushes in and signals to Desmond to pick me up and follow him.
