Vivian reluctantly pushed her body from the chair taking the book back over to Everett.
“So we all know the Grimm Brothers, their tales, but this book shows how their stories pulled from ancient mythology. Parts of it that were lost over the years. This book recounts that the beginning and end of the world was told in the Poetic Edda, a collection of mythological stories. That it all came from some great magical nothingness called the Gunnungagap.”
Vivian looked up at Everett who nodded understanding.
“You said a very powerful witch created the cage for these creatures, that only a powerful witch could unlock it per se.” Everett was still nodding, so Vivian continued. “So, what if that’s it. What if it’s this Gunnungagap?”
“Gunnungagap is german for the gaping abyss, yawning void,” Everett added, skepticism in his voice.
