Chapter 44: A Prophecy

There is an iron-metallic taste in Vivian’s mouth, as she felt her body coming back to life. It was blood. The taste of Vivian’s own blood had settled in the back of her throat, causing her to gage, blood vomiting from her mouth as she turned over, gasping for air.

“It’s okay, let it all out." The voice was familiar, but Vivian's eyes were clouded with a red film - blood. “It’s okay, I’m here to help.” Before Vivian could respond, everything went black again.

It wasn't long before Vivian's eyes started to flicker, light bringing them back to life. The blood was gone. Seeing clearly, Vivian realized she was in bed, a figure standing by the window, the light cascading all around them. Vivian couldn't help but think she was an angel, even though she knew she was a witch.

"Oh good, you are up," Ava said, noticing Vivian sliding to the edge of the bed.
