I opened my eyes, squinting in the sunlight. Heather’s shadow stood over me, with her hands on her hips. I basked in the sunlight for another moment before finally pushing myself up. 


We were at Arrowhead Towne Center, where Heather had dragged me along to look for things that she wanted to add to her registry. She also liked to walk into practically every store to see if she got “inspiration” for anything else she wanted to add either to her closet or for the wedding. 


I was more than happy to come with her, though. It was a beautiful sunny day out, and I happened to be in a very good mood. After talking with Finn, and now hanging out with Heather like we used to, things felt like they were finally looking up.
