Siana made her way up to the door with her fear as a weapon in the tips of her fingers wondering if opening the door was the right move. What would it be? What if it was Aden or even worst? What if it was Alexander?
She reached out her hands with shivering legs and thoughts, scared to proceed. Before she knew it her hand had moved on its own. She stepped back and waited for the face to pop up from behind the door.
"Miss Jones." A familiar ring echoed throughout the silent room as the door made a loud screech and was pushed towards her.
Lisa pushed her head around with a resting face, upon meeting Siana's terrified face she quickly entered and bowed. "I'm sorry for showing up unannounced Miss Jones," she whispered eyes focused on the beat up rug.
Siana relaxed her tensed body and exhaled deeply releasing all the tension and fear she had built up. The room was filled with loud sharp inhales and exhaled. Siana felt like nailing Lisa's head to the ground for building up that much fear in her but that wasn't her, she was way too nice to give in to her aggressive thoughts. She made shaky steps over to the couch and laid her tired body down followed with a sigh.
"You scared us!” she shouted tossing a pillow at Lisa.
"I'm so sorry Miss Jones," she replied with another bow.
"Stop calling me Miss Jones and why are you here?" Siana asked with her head tilted, her lips slightly parted and an annoyed look on her face.
Lisa didn't understand. Why would she want her to not call her by her rightful tittle? Did she not know the power she wheeled?
"I'm here to assist you with Sir Alexander's request." She said snapping out of her thoughts.
Lisa made her way to the door and grabbed a box. She made slow steady steps up to her with the box gripped tight in her hand, "Sir Alexander told me to accompany you to deliver this box at this location," she handed Siana a piece of paper with tiny writings. Siana reached out her long pale hand to Lisa and grabbed the paper from her hand. She dragged it up to her face and widened her eyes.
"That's like an hour drive. If I do this will he bother me again?" She asked looking over at Lisa that gave her no response, verbal or nonverbal.
She just stood there with her hands held before her and her eyes wondering Siana's messy apartment and Kathy with an expression that couldn't be comprehended.
Siana slid over beside Kathy and laid her head on her shoulder. "Everything I’m about to tell you is the truth, everything I'm about to tell you happened for real, not something I imagined." She whispered to Kathy.
Siana’s first sentence drew Kathy to the doors of tears. Her sentences got meaningless then unbelievable as she tried her best to explain what had happened since the first time she had met Alexander up to that very day. It made Lisa wondered wildly and Kathy whispered I’m sorrys over and over as she continued to explain. It got to a point that had Kathy and Lisa sweating, awaiting her next words as she explained as if she was reading a sex scene between two lovers. The suspense throughout her story was amazing as she gave them every little detail, from to point when Alexander stick her up with a gun, dragged her into his car and hovered over her with his lips an inch away from hers to the point where he slapped her.
Gasps filled the room as Siana told the terrifying tales of her being slapped in the face by her future husband. At her last sentence she was brought into a ball of sympathy hug by Kathy and Lisa.
“So are you going to go with me, both of you?” she asked as she switched her attention from Kathy to Lisa.
Siana wasn’t the only one that was scared. Everyone was after hearing Siana’s tales, even Lisa, someone that had spent a lot of time around Alexander, yet she knew nothing of the real him so hearing those stories shook her down hard. It had her dying to help Siana escape, but there was nothing she could do. They both shook their heads as a respond to Siana’s request.
The tree girls tried figuring a way out but no one could out smart Alexander. All they could have done was to give in and let time run its course. Seeing Siana’s blue face Lisa and Kathy came up with a way to cheer her up, some delicious foods, a warm bath and a relaxing activity. They smiled and laughed as time went by and they forgot about everything.
Their giggles quickly died down at the sound of Lisa’s phone. “It’s Aden, he said we should be there by three,” she whispered and looked up at Siana with a gloomy face.
In a blink of an eye it was time to fulfill Alexander’s request. Siana sat on the back seat of the car gazing out the window thinking of all the ways she would be killed, thinking what could be in the box; money, drugs, body parts? She gazed over to the box that sat next to her with lit curiosity. What could it be? Why was she the one that had to deliver it? Why couldn’t it had been Aden, Lisa, someone else even him?
She slowly slid her way over to the box as Kathy and Lisa kept their focus on the road ahead. She reached out her hand with thoughts drowning her mind, stealing away the reality she felt. What could it be? Open it? Jump out of the car! Turn back! Open it, open it, open it! Run! All those words swallowed her mind as she watched the box with a frozen expression hidden by curiosity. What would it be this time? What troubles would accompany her if she was to open the box?
