A PERFECT FAMILY TORN APART

Family! After being in Kathy’s loving arms her mind wondered back to Mr. Miguel’s finally word ‘Family’ would her family be okay hearing that the contract was terminated? Siana’s mind wondered what would her parents think of her, did her parents know what Alexander was?

She gripped her phone and dialed up her parents, “Mom, come over now and bring dad,” she said and slipped out of Kathy’s arms.

She sat on the couch next to Kathy’s sleeping body with water bottles at her feet patiently waiting for her parents to walk through the door that had her undivided attention.

The sound of the door knob scared her. “Siana, where are you?” Mrs. Jones voice asked heading to the living room.

She sprung up from the couch and ran up to her mother, grabbed her arm and pulled her to the couch sitting her down next to Kathy’s full on death mode sleep. “Siana what’s this about?” Mrs. Jones asked looking up to her husband.

“Mom, dad, Mr. Miguel terminated the marriage contract between me and Alexander!” She shouted with a little happiness horsing her voice.

“What?!” Mrs. Jones shouted getting up from the couch. Siana turned around to look up to her father to find fields of fear in his eyes.

They both looked at each other with hard core worry. Siana knew that would be their reaction but she went on and told them anyway. Siana told them the truth why she wanted to leave, the truth why she hated him.

“What!?” Mr. Jones shouted. “Why are you so surprised, What, do you expect from a criminal?” she asked looking into their faces. “He slapped me in the face and all I could do was sat there and take it.” She said with tears flowing from her eyes slowly biting her lips. What did they expect? “Don’t worry about any of it. I’ll speak with Mr. Miguel so that he doesn’t terminate the contract.” Mr. Jones said with his fingers entwined.

“Jackson!!!” Mrs. Jones shouted. “She’s not going back there. We have to clean this up. He hit her in the face and all you could say is that you’ll discuss a better way to make her suffer. Do you think he’ll just be a good boy and listen to his father?” she asked in a raging temper. “She wasn’t the one that brought this up on us. We did, so go get your fucking shit straight and let’s get her out of this!” Mrs. Jones finished releasing all the anger she had pent-up.

“What the fuck do you want me to do Shanen?” Mr. Jones asked with hands held out wide. “This wasn’t my idea remember?” he asked as he slowly spun around and place his hand on his forehead, “You were the one that befriended that slut!” he shouted.

“You know what Jackson, you and that mafia boss can go fuck yourselves and don’t you dear call him!” Shanen Jones shouted. “Fuck this, I made a simple mistake and that stupid bitch took it personal, is that my fault, fucking tell me if it’s my fault!!!” she shouted.

Watching her family eat away at each other like that struck one of her heart strings, what could she do? Siana grabbed onto her mother’s arm and pulled her into her room. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know you went through all those things.” Mrs. Jones whispered whipping Siana’s cheeks with her thumb as her tears dripped onto her arm and ran away from the pain she felt in her heart on to the carpet.

Mr. Jones came bursting through the door in anger, “I’m not going down with both of you. What’s so hard to marry someone?” he shouted looking down onto Siana. “Siana I love you, I fucking love you but this time love lost, fear won!” his voice pitched high.

“He had showed me countless times what he was capable of. I don’t care just go back to him and pretend if you have to,” he said with his voice lowered little. He sniffed load, bit his bottom lip standing at the door with his head slightly brushing on the door jam.

Mrs. Jones had thought the same things before but she had always kept it to herself because she knew the problem it would cause and she knew that her precious little daughter didn’t deserve any of it. “You hypocritical son of a bitch!” she shouted getting up from the bed.

She knew that what was about to exit her mouth was wrong because she was with the same thoughts as he was. “Jackson I hope you fucking choke of your own breath. Siana’s twenty-six, she hasn’t even found her first boyfriend, she hasn’t lived any of her life and you old gray fucking cheating motherfucker with your selfish ass wanna sell our only child to spare your sorry dying ass?!” she asked with tears pointing at Siana. This was the first time Siana had seen her parents got that deep into an argument. She felt like she was the reason for it, she felt like opening the window and just jump, feel the wind through her hair as she slowly fell.

They argued their way to the living room then to the kitchen. Siana followed behind her mother tugging weakly onto her shirt end exhausted crying.

“Shanen I don’t fucking care, I’m calling him right now and if you want he can take your fat ass back with him!” he shouted. Mrs. Jones gasped and placed her hand over her mouth that was the first time throughout her marriage her husband had disrespected her. That just pissed her off more.

She grabbed a twenty-two centimeter knife from the counter and pointed it to her beloved husband. “Do it!” she shouted. Siana dragged her weak poor body behind them at every step they made.

“Mom, Dad, stop. I’ll do it,” her tiny weak voice whispered. If it was possible her heart would have melted to the ground and looked up at her with tears as all the pain she was in dried up. If it was possible her heart would have given up on life, place a bullet straight through itself, if it was possible she would fade away in pain.

“Don’t you mention her, Shanen you were the one that fucked my brother!” Mr. Jones shouted.

That sentence hit her hard. It popped the main string that held up her heart. She dashed up to him with the knife burning with anger.

It hurts to see the persons you love destroys each other, it hurts to see someone you love dearly cries and you don’t know what to do because you yourself needs help, someone to hug you and tell you that you matter. It hurts to a point when you’d finally become numb, in love with that tiring feeling, it hurts wishing it would rain everyday so that you know the sky cries alongside with you, so that the heavy sounds of rain drowns out the vicious thoughts consuming your mind like an virus fighting its way through its host. Those were Siana’s feelings.

Siana used all her energy to drag her body before her father as her mother made her way up to them blinded by anger.
