The sounds of her mother's sweet voice echoed in her mind as she stood there in the middle of a playground enjoying the wind. The sun was brighter than ever before, the sky was bluer than the beautiful birds that flew by. The wind reminded her of what it was like in the olden days, it reminded her of the beach side with the noisy seagull and kids screaming for their mothers. The pretty autumn leaves flew across her dancing alongside with her hair moving at the wind’s command.
It was the world's perfect morning. She walked over to the bench with her dress blowing in the wind and a beautiful smile that reflected to the sky, she sat on the bench and relaxed, nothing to do, no one to bother her, just her and the beautiful playground surrounded by silence and beauty. She looked up the sky with squinting eyes. The beautiful thick cloud that was quickly passing by shaped itself into her mother’s face showing her tiny eyes.
"What the hell." She whispered. She rubbed her eyes endlessly and widened them struggling to figure out what was happening. Her vision disappeared and a bright light was suddenly flashing before her eyes.
"Miss Jones can you hear me?" A voice asked.
Siana managed to open her eyes landing her vision on a heaven sent face. She slowly fought her way up and began looking around. Her eyes grabbed the little details of the room then landed back to the face that was looking down at her.
The doctor turned off the flash light and placed it into his pocket, grabbed the chart and began scanning through it. Siana's face was stunned, she gazed even deeper on his features. His light brown eyes looked perfect under the reflection of the sunlight. She watched as his hair lightly fell to his face brushing against his bushy eyebrows. He parted his lips a little and looked up at her.
"Are you in any pain?" He asked standing by her bedside. She snapped out of her thoughts and confusingly looked down at her chest. She placed her hand a little over her left breast and flinched, "Ah!" She shouted. He panicky held onto her shoulder and observed her carefully. "Does it hurt that bad?" He asked. She paused and took in the view of his smooth light skin an inch away from her face.
"Breath taking," she whispered. He looked up at her and dived into her eyes, "what?" He asked.
"Ah nothing, I'm fine," she whispered a little hoarse.
Siana was now lying on a hospital bed with the word’s most handsome doctor at her service looking down into her hazel eyes. She wanted to know the reason why but didn't know where to start. "What happened to my chest?" She asked pointing to her chest with eyes glued to the doctor's face.
"You were in an accident," he responded.
She looked down at his ID then back to his face, "what accident?" She asked.
"I'll inform your visitors that you are awake." He said avoiding her questions. This was his job but something about her had him anxiously yearning for an escape, some fresh air.
She looked down on her bandaged chest once more then slowly removed the sheets from her over heated body. This was the first time in a while since she had stepped feet into a hospital. She hated hospitals, the smell, the screams, she hated being around ill people, it drained her feelings, got her feeling like she was the cause of all those patient’s illnesses and pain. She swung her feet down hitting the cold ground. She looked down onto her polished toes glittering in the morning light. A heavy gush of wind blew sending the things from her bedside table to the ground. For a moment she was startled. She placed light pressure on her legs that felt sore and made her way to the cards and the flowers lying on the floor. As she began picking up the cards one by one a card grabbed her attention. The big bold word Alexander caught her eyes.
"Siana!" Her mother shouted as she paused with her eyes glued to her pale skinny body on the ground with her eyes filled with tears. Siana quickly got up and rushed over to her and into her arms. It felt like home, it felt extremely welcoming and warm, Siana wished if she could stay into her loving mother's arms forever.
Soon before she knew it she was curled up in bed next to her mother as she slowly brushed back her hair repeatedly. Siana asked her mom the reason why she was there and her answer was confusingly meaningless.
She had no idea what she meant by it was an accident, that was the second time she had heard that very same word. She asked once more now looking up at her mother. "You got stabbed, no need to worry about it," she whispered and placed a kiss on her forehead. Siana couldn't remember that event. The more she forced her mind open trying to find that memory the farther she sank.
"Mom, where's dad?" She asked with her lips pouted. "He’s been away for a while now and I haven't seen him for years." She finished looking up at her mother’s face that was filled with confusion.
"Siana what are you talking about?" Mrs. Jones asked as she slightly eased up and looked into her daughter's face feeling confused. Mrs. Jones was scared and confused at the same time. What did she meant by haven't seen him in years? It was just two days ago since all the drama, pain and chaos occurred, how could she not have seen her dad in years?
Mrs. Jones jumped out of the bed and disappeared out of the room with worry painted over her face. The very same doctor as before came in this time with a disappointed look on his face. Before she had knew it she was patiently waiting on test results as she sat next to the doctor feeling nervous while he peeked into her face trying to make small talks.
"No I don't remember anything," she responded. She had heard that question from his lips countless times and she had given him the very same response.
Siana finally decided to break the awkwardness that surrounded them by asking him a personal question which ended in silent awkwardness once more.
Time flew by as a heavy gush of wind blowing a golden fallen leaf. In no time she was sitting on the bed in her mother’s arms after hearing the results. Through everything that happened it had to be a serious case of memory loss. She was told by the doctor and her mother that she had been in a coma for the past two days and her final moment now all she could hear was the word memories repeating in her head.
What level of stress could possible cause such an effect? Whatever it was it wasn't something good, it wasn't something she would want to experience ever again but then again because of her newly discovered medical problem it wasn't a big deal to her since she had no memory of what it was like having memories of the beautiful past her mother described to her. Siana stood outside her hospital room wrapped in countless pieces of clothing patiently waiting on her mother to finish packing up her belongings.
"Hey," a voice popped up. She turned to the voice slowly laying her eyes upon his gods sent face.
She felt drown to this deep new voice that manipulated her mind. "Hey." She responded.
That word was always a classic way to start a conversation in her mind, that word had a special meaning that her was out of the reach of her mind, a word she was so familiar with but couldn't remember how she grew to it. Their conversation grew rapidly into a close call and ended with a mind blowing question.
"Can I take you out sometime?" He shyly asked avoiding her eyes by gluing his vision to the hospital door.
