STEPBROTHER II
Avia and Michael walk to the garden where Avia hasn't visited for years, she try her best to ignore the garden since it brings memories of her grandmother.
"Royalty doesn't touch mud" Avia said as she sits on the chair under the tent
"Of course, you are a princess" Michael replied sitting opposite her
"Do you know how crazy you scold me everytime we come to check up on you in Japan? There are times I want to break your head for supporting granny" Avia said smiling remembering all the old good times
"And do you know how hard it is for me to scold you? But I will rather do it than let mother do it" Michael replied with a smile
"You love her that much?" Avia asked all of a sudden
"Who?" Michael asked back not understanding her
"Nathaniel" Avia replied
"Nathaniel? She's a thing of the past" Michael said trying to hide his hurt
"Definitely a thing of the past but she's getting married" Avia said and Michael look at her with surprise
"The shameless girl called" Michael said with anger
"I'm as surprised and shocked as she is to find out you have a new girlfriend" Avia said coldly giving Michael chills. He might be the son of the late honourable Simpson but he doesn't have the blood of Lorea that runs in Avia's vein.
"I'm sorry Avia, she was intimidating me with her wedding" Michael replied calming his nerves
"And have you told Mimi her role that day?" Avia asked not bothering to beat around the bush
"You know most times I wish mother didn't die early maybe I will have this blood running in my veins now" Michael said
"You need to talk to her about it and do that with care and about going to Japan for vacation, I'm ready to go with you as long as we will be staying at grandparents cottage" Avia added
"Thank you my girl. I will get someone to clean grandparents cottage" Michael said happily
"I'm on granny's case and it hasn't been easy, I don't know who to trust anymore in this mansion" Avia said sadly
"Madeline isn't clean and clear but I'm not so sure about Nanny Mary" Michael replied
"Nanny Mary's background isn't clear and I'm worried. I can't take it if she's anyway involve in granny's death or any of the bad happenings" Avia said with sadness
"Do you know about Madeline's uncle?" Michael asked with curiosity
"Granny once talked about the man being her very good friend before she married his brother and that's all I know about him" Avia replied
"I did few checks on him and it was too blurry. He had feelings for mother but never told her, he didn't get married because no one feels or looks like mother. He lives far away and hasn't contact his family two years after mother and Mr Steve's marriage. I checked for past friends and relationships, surprisingly mother is the only one" Michael explained as Avia tries to connect the dots
"Blurry but clear Michael. What if he's the one married to granny's twin because they look alike? People have seen granny's twin but not her husband and this man seems to be missing" Avia said calmly
"You are right. If he didn't get married to anyone because they don't look like mother then it means he got married to her twin and stayed cleared of media" Michael said trying to connect the dots too
"Detective Cross is asking for my wrath" Avia said coldly and Michael smile
"After the Japan trip, we will pay him a visit. He will definitely pay back what he owes" Michael said coldly and Avia smirk, the blood afterall runs in him.
"Are you back here or is it still hide and seek?" Avia asked with hint of sadness and annoyance in her voice
"Madeline knows who I am now, they will be making a move trying to know if I have a bigger share in the property or you" Michael replied and Avia nod
"Which means no matter where I want to hide, they will seek me" Michael added and they laugh
"So good to have you back. Come for dinner once in a while so Mimi won't feel weird her boss is here" Avia said after noticing how weird Mimi felt eating with her boss on the same table.
"It will get better after the trip to Japan" Michael said and Avia shake her head with a smirk
"Don't break her heart, I won't spare you" Avia said as she stands up. Michael smile at her and they both leave the garden.

Madeline is walking up and down the room breathing heavily with her phone on her ear.
"I've been trying to get you Rhea" She said after hearing a response from the other side of the phone
"Hey Sissy, I need you to calm your nerves and talk to me calmly" Rhea said noticing the panic in her voice
"Rhea, the Simpson has a heir" Madeline said breaking down
"What heir? And why are you breaking down?" Rhea asked confused
"He came for dinner and I heard he's late honourable Simpson son" Madeline replied touching her temple
"So? Not every issue requires panicking, we will solve it" Rhea said
"How do you want to solve it? He's not part of the plan before and I'm yet to gain Avia's trust, Mary is also back in the mansion" Madeline said with panic
"Avia's trust is the last thing you should think of gaining, girl is so smart. And about the new heir, we will do our findings on him" Rhea replied
"What if I try to gain his trust? He's my stepbrother afterall" Madeline said and Rhea chuckle
"Don't ridicule yourself, be nice if you want to but don't try to gain the trust you can't gain" Rhea said calmly
"When will you be back?" Madeline asked
"Not anytime soon but I will come visiting" Rhea replied
"I'm exhausted Rhea. Can't I walk up to Avia and ask for my share of my mother's property instead of this planning process?" Madeline said exhaustedly
"Do that and let me know where to pick you up" Rhea said and end the call angrily. Madeline sits on the bed with tears and hope all the years of planning ends soon.
