Amanda had half a mind to let Levi re-open his wound and bleed out in the wilderness. He probably wouldn’t die. Unless his wound got infected. Or if something attacked him and he was too weak to fight back. Or-

“Son of a…”

She grabbed the sheets from where they were lying abandoned on the floor and took off through the front door, following the obvious trail Levi had left in the snow. The paw-prints quickly mixed with blood droplets, a bright, glaring contrast to the world of white around her.

She found him in human form, slumped against a tree, and shivering wildly. He was clutching his shoulder, which was oozing blood, his teeth grit in pain. Amanda just shook her head at him and threw the sheets down in his lap.

“Are you stupid?”

He snarled at her.

“Oh, yeah, go ahead, big guy, get it all out.”

“I don’t need your help,” he snapped.

“Don’t you?”
