Amanda Heyes is a struggling children's book illustrator who is invited to look after her editor's remote mountain home for the winter. She hopes it will be a chance to paint and work without worrying too much about rent but instead finds herself drawn toward a huge white wolf and his two pups.

When the wolf turns out to be a shifter named Levi, everything changes for Amanda, as she quickly finds herself drawn to Levi despite his rough exterior. 	Downstairs, the house was a flurry of activity. Amanda could hardly keep up with the people fixing the house, the cooking, the conversation. The pups had been wrestling on the carpet but leaped to their feet the second Amanda and Levi were in the room, bolting over with twin smiles on their faces.


	“You’re up!” Dakota barreled into Amanda’s knees. Amanda would have fallen over if Levi hadn’t held her up in preparation. Dakota hardly seemed to notice. “You were asleep for forever!”


	Levi chuckled. “You should still be sleeping. You were up all night.”


	“I’m super awake!” she said. “Garrett let me have coffee!”


	Levi shot a glare at the man, who was standing in the kitchen. Garrett just shrugged, saying, “You try saying no to those two.”


	“I had juice,” Utah proudly announced. He was promptly tackled by his sister.


	“Traitor!” she yelled. “We were in this together!”
