Amanda Heyes is a struggling children's book illustrator who is invited to look after her editor's remote mountain home for the winter. She hopes it will be a chance to paint and work without worrying too much about rent but instead finds herself drawn toward a huge white wolf and his two pups.

When the wolf turns out to be a shifter named Levi, everything changes for Amanda, as she quickly finds herself drawn to Levi despite his rough exterior. With the threat of rogues led by Levi's jealous older brother, Jed, against them, and the knowledge that Levi must soon return to his secluded pack, can a romance ever truly bloom between the two?

	The pack was starting to leave in small groups, and by the time Garrett was ready to go, there was a heavy choice to be made. Levi would be the last to leave, of course, but there was the matter of the pups. They would likely be delayed a while if Levi left with them, because he would have to often stop completely to hunt and rest, since there would be no one to share the load. If the pups left with Garrett’s group, though, it was likely they would arrive just ahead of Levi, and thus Levi wouldn’t lag too far behind. 


	The pups wanted to see their friends as soon as possible, but Levi had become used to having them with him at all times.


	“Please, Uncle?” Dakota pressed her little hands together, as though praying. “Please? I will be very, very good! And I will behave and listen to the Beta. Promise!”


	“I want to see Seth,” Utah agreed. “Please can we go ahead?”
