Chapter 18: My New Favorite Activity

TALLIA

After dinner, Bryant took my hand and led me down the street. It was dark out and the quaint streetlamps were lit.

I loved the way his hand dwarfed mine and the heat that radiated from him into me. Dinner was nothing special, and yet it had been to me. We'd just taken the time to get to know each other. Most of it had been surface things, but it had felt so much deeper.

I liked Bryant. I liked him a lot.

He led the way to a small theater, and we got some drinks before settling into the back row. The lights were dim but not off completely, as it was just the previews.

Bryant was so big; he didn't seem to fit in his seat.

I giggled and stood. Taking his hand, I led him to one of the double chairs off to the side and lifted the armrest between the next seat to make it a couch.

Bryant nodded and shot me a grateful smile. Even with it being bigger, the seat was still a squeeze for the two of us.
