Chapter 22: The Seer's Advice

BRYANT

I didn't want to leave Tallia or my pack so soon after the attack, but the next day I had a council meeting. Thankfully, I lived within a few hours’ drive from the center where we held them.

Cohen, the Vampire Master, was droning on about more and more reports of vampire attacks on humans. Sure, that was a big deal, but not for me. There wasn't much I could do about it. The vast majority of shifters didn't live in cities, preferring packs that had their own land in the middle of nowhere.

Amelia, the human President, however, was quite concerned. Understandably so. If vampires were out there attacking it was a big deal for humans, especially if they were being turned against their will, which it seemed like some of them were.

Finally, the meeting ended, and we all stood to gather our things.

"You will speak with me, Bryant," Anthea said from behind me.
