Chapter 29: Freedom

TALLIA

I glared at Bryant from my position on the couch in his office. His head was bent over a stack of papers as he read.

For two days he’d kept me cooped up in here doing absolutely nothing.

I hadn’t minded the day before because I’d still been too sore to move much. Today I was still sore, but I also needed to move.

“I’m going crazy,” I said.

He looked up from his work and locked those green eyes on me. His strong features and serious expression did all kinds of things to my lady bits. Man, he was handsome.

Focus.

“What do you want me to do about that?” he asked.

“I want you to let me leave and go for a walk or something.”

“No. You need to stay where I can see you.” His voice was a low, dangerous growl and his eyes flickered bright green.

I shook my head and crossed my arms over my chest. “Nothing is going to happen if I walk around. I’ll take someone with me if you want. Dominic, maybe.”
