Chapter 28: Just In Time

BRYANT

I sprinted around the edge of the house as fast as my legs could carry me. Zarron and a few other warriors fell in around me, but I didn’t pay attention to them.

I had to get to Tallia.

As I neared the windows to the room she’d last been in, I saw they were all shattered and my heart damn near collapsed in my chest.

Without hesitation, I dove through them. Zarron and the others followed.

The room wasn’t large, and it was complete chaos within. One wolf was being held down by several omegas. One was fighting four omegas.

And one was standing over my mate, about to rip her throat out.

I leapt into the air and came crashing down on his back. His spine snapped, and he collapsed, dead underneath me.

I shifted and kicked his body away before kneeling at Tallia’s side.

I should keep fighting. I should lead my warriors, but I couldn’t leave her.
