“Shift.”
“Shift.”
“Shift,” Dominic barked again.
I shifted back into my human form and stayed on my hands and knees as I panted. My body was covered in sweat and ached all over.
Dominic had warned me that today I was going to work on one thing and one thing only: getting my shift down until it was effortless and fast.
I hadn’t realized how exhausting that would be. On the plus side, I was no longer afraid. It didn’t hurt at all to shift anymore. But on the other hand, I was pretty sure if I had to shift again; I was going to die.
“That’s enough for today. Tomorrow we’ll start working on your running speed,” Dominic said.
For once he was the clothed one while I was naked. But after two hours of shifting in and out of my wolf form in front of him, I couldn’t bring myself to care.
I nodded and shoved to my feet. “When will we get to the actual fighting?”
Dominic handed me my clothes, and I started pulling them on right there in front of him.
