Chapter 48: Forgive Me

BRYANT

The barn was chaos.

All the shifters from outside were now inside, and my warriors were fighting them off.

For now.

Tallia was battling Thomas, and I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

She must be hurting, but she wasn’t showing a single bit of it. Whatever Dominic had taught her had turned her into one of the best fighters I’d ever seen.

Charles slammed another blade into my gut, and I groaned and fought to breathe through the agony. If I didn’t shift soon, I was going to die. My vision was turning black and spotty at the edges.

Behind Charles, Thomas fell to the ground and Tallia ripped out his throat.

I had hope that even if I didn’t make it, she would survive.

“This is the end for you, brother,” Charles growled in my ear as he stabbed me again.

Tallia didn’t linger with Thomas for very long.

No.

She was running straight for Charles.

She leapt into the air, but he spun and met her face on.

The two of them crashed to the ground right in front of me.
