TALLIA
A week later, I woke up late and headed down to breakfast alone.
When I walked into the room, I froze.
Zarron was sitting in his usual seat, and Liza was beside him. Their heads were bent close together and they were whispering, both with wide smiles on their faces.
I cleared my throat and went and got my plate before taking my seat.
Both of them looked at me, still smiling. I looked between them and raised my brows.
Tallia snorted, and Zarron chuckled.
“You should tell her,” Zarron said.
I looked at Liza.
Her cheeks flushed, but she met my gaze. “Zarron and I have decided to mate.”
“NO!” I yelled.
Both of their jaws dropped, and their eyes widened.
I waved my words away. “I meant no way. I’m so happy!” My heart soared, and I couldn’t have wiped the grin off my face if I’d tried. “You’re serious, right? You can’t lie to me about this,” I pushed.
Zarron laughed. “We’re quite serious. We’ve been spending a lot of time together lately and it works.”
