Nothing has been the same since the day of the battle with the Shaws. Since then, I found my ancestors voices inside of me, gained the respect of the Denhurst shifters, and lost the love of my life.


I could still feel Grey nearby. And sometimes, I could hear him whispering encouraging words in my mind. But I needed to touch him, kiss him, and have him hold me in his arms.


The pressures of my new status and Grey’s absence from my life often made me feel stressed and sad. When I couldn’t take the misery anymore, I went to my room and held the moonstone pendant in my hand. 


I never put it on. I wasn’t sure what would happen if I did. There have been enough changes recently for me to absorb. 


Merely holding the moonstone in my palm soothed my spirit and calmed my mind, making it easier to think and plan.
