Chapter 48: Anna and Ray

DEMING WOODS, WA — VICTORIA’S RESIDENCE

ANNA’S POV

To think I actually look dressed to the nines is astonishing. Mom really helped me out a lot with the wardrobe, as well as my makeup. I guess you could say it was a good mother-daughter outing.

Currently, I’m standing outside of Victoria’s house, wearing a soft lilac purple dress that pinches at the waist, but floats to my feet like flower petals about to bloom in spring. The sleeves drape across my chest into a heartline, decorated with crystals that glide over my dress like the stars in the night sky. I felt like how I did back at the halloween party except this time, with a more regal approach.

My hair is updone into a nice, braided bun with crystal laurels adorned on the sides, paired with silver teardrop earrings and a necklace to match.

Mom outdid herself.

But just as I was admiring the dress again, the door suddenly opens and I’m greeted by Victoria who looks to be…underdressed?
