Trevor blinked at the girl. she was obviously a demigoddess, but he hadn't seen her around in his short time at Camp Half-blood.
"Hey listen the quest was given to me by my mom okay. If there's a mix up you should Asie her-."
"You think I'm here on a quest?" She hissed pressing her blade deeper into Trevor's throat.
"Oh no pretty boy I'm here for the dragons and thanks to you I got what I need to tame them."
Trevor's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she threw away her half eaten apple snatched his.
"What do you want with my mom's dragons?"
"Their dragons dipshit." Bluntly shot back the girl in a heartbeat.
Trevor had to admit, it was quite an obvious answer.
He analyzed the demigoddess before him. She seemed around his age if not slightly older. She had a piercing but slightly crazed look in her eyes. A scar that reached the left side of her chin that dissapeared under the celestial bronze breastplate she was wearing.
Now that he looked at it she was clad in a full on Greek battle armor minus a helmet. Her wild curly red hair flowing freely in the wind.
"You know what." She said suddenly growing calmer. "Maybe I'll give you a small chance."
"A chance for what?" Trevor nervously asked.
In response the girl put the apple in a pouch tied to her waist. She reached under her armor and pulled out an amulet tied to chain.
A dark obsidian material sporting a golden scythe. If Trevor didn't know who Kronos was he might have been reassured by the sight of a farm tool.
The son of Demeter had heard rumors going around camp. About how the last Hermes counselor nearly killed Percy Jackson and joined with supporters of Kronos.
"Why would you side with someone who ate his own children." Breathed Trevor in disgust.
"Oh please ever heard how Athena was born." Scoffed the demigoddess.
"Besides why would you side with you're mom? Let me guess she only gave you the time of the day when you were of some use to her. Like right now for example."
"She just wanted to protect me." Slowly replied Trevor, but it was clear as day that he didn't believe his own words that much.
"Bull, she just couldn't be bothered to raise you."
"And what of you're godly parent!" Snapped Trevor conveniently overlooking the fact that there was a sword at his neck.
"I can't blame her for not showing her face. My poor mother is easily to most overlooked aspect of war!"
"And that would be?" Trevor wondered briefly glancing at the branch he lowered into her pouch.
"Alala."
"What are you trying to sing me a lullaby." Snarked the son of Demeter.
"My name is Janie Zaymer daughter of Alala goddess of warcries. Not the child of a farming goddess." Spat the agent of Kronos.
"Never heard of her." Deadpanned Trevor. The girl pressed her sword deeper into his neck. Effectively silencing him.
"Wouldn't expect you too." She sneered "now be a good little happy camper and stay put. I got dragons to tame."
"Okay, but how are you going to do that without the apple?"
Her face had the time to twist in confusion before the branch launched the fruit high in the air.
Janie raised her head following it's trajectory. Trevor took his chance knocking her over and racing towards the chariot. The apple falling back in his outstretched hands.
The schreech that followed after him nearly sent him down a spiral of terror. He actually stumbled for a little completely frozen.
As if an entire war force had just roared in his face at the top of their lungs. The fury of a hundred warriors aimed straight at someone. It was not a pleasant feeling that much was for sure.
He managed to somewhat shake it off before sprinting the rest of the way into the chariot.
"UP!" He snapped practically whipping the reigns. Fear and anger seemed to be another language the dragons spoke as they immediately took to the sky.
His rapid breathing slowed down as the ground shrunk fast. The daughter of Alala was nowhere to be seen and that made him relived.
When the fact he couldn't see her several hundred feet from the ground should have worried him.
Suddenly she vaulted over the edge of the chariot, landing a strong haymaker in Trevor's jaw, nearly sending him off the chariot. He lost hold of the reigns as Janie tried to push him off the rest of the way.
Trevor struggled against her, nearly pushing her off before she grabbed his head. Letting loose the most blood curdling scream Trevor had ever heard, suddenly he was terrified frozen in pure terror.
Giving the daughter of the minor goddess more than enough time to knock him off the chariot.
Luckily Trevor managed to grab on to the edge just in time.
Screaming he sent an annoyed look at the careless dragons, before looking up at the smiling demigoddess raising her sword.
"Go right!"
The dragons obeyed without thinking, swerving to the right. Essentially swinging the chariot like a flail into a nearby building. Janie was swung backwards her head smacking against a window, but she held on.
Trevor scrambled back in seizing the reigns. He noticed a couple of rich people having a party around a pool on a nearby roof, he glanced at the still dazed girl and went into action.
"Yah!" He yelled making the dragons fly higher until he had to hold the reigns with one hand along with the edge.
Janie tried to grab him, but it was too late she tumbled off screaming. Trevor's head snapped in her direction, sighing in relief when she hit the water.
She must have been a quick swimmer because he could already hear her throwing a large amount of insults his way.
"Gods that was weird." Sighed Trevor guiding the dragons back to Rhode
