After locating the first missing gem at the bottom of a lake in a spooky swamp, Mason and Montez combined their unique abilities to retrieve the treasure. With Montez suited up to swim and with Mason’s vine wrapped around his wrist, he gave the 16-year-old specific instructions. 


“Alright bro, so when I first head down there, all you got to do is anchor me. If I’m in any trouble or have the gem, I’m gonna tug on the rope twice. That’s the signal for when I want you to pull me up. Got it?” Montez informed his ally. 


“Got it. I’m ready when you are,” Mason said, clutching his end of the vine tight. Montez turned his attention to the lake and made baby steps towards the water. “Oh, and if anything crazy is happening up here, like guards approaching or a monster shows up, pull me up,” Montez concluded as he made his way into the water.
