Chapter 47: Trial of Rally

While his rival was climbing his way to new heights, Owen’s fear of the Warden was growing to phenomenal levels. After taking the unconscious bodies of Montez, Apollo, and Oswald with his team and progressing up the mountain system, the super strong Monstrosity was growing concerned as he began to spend more time around Grim.

“You alright?” Piper whispered to his fellow inmate as they watched their leader mentally violate the minds of Montez and Apollo.

Owen could not take his eyes off a crouched down Grim, who had Montez’s neck propped up against a rock with his fingers planted on both sides of the witty spy. “I… don’t know. Something about all of this just feels… wrong. You know?” he said as the trio watched Grim’s hands glow.

“What is he doing?” Keith mumbled in Piper’s ear.

“I think he’s draining his brain,” Piper responded.

Owen shook his head. “Nah, he’s stealing knowledge from it,” he informed them.

“How do you know?” Keith asked as he scratched his head.
