Chapter 23

Gyebi had a great idea today. Finding other options for the orphanage seemed like his responsibility now. The old woman who took care of Obaa Yaa whilst her mother was sick came to mind. Why don't I ask her if she can help in the orphanage? A few more hands will not hurt. Gyebi discussed this option with both Asabea and Mrs Kyere.

" Anything that will keep the orphanage going is welcome," she said.

"Whilst on our rounds, we found one older woman who took Obaa Yaa into her house when her mother died. We think she can be of great help. At least, she could keep them entertained and happy."

" We can go and see her together and see if she's interested. She lives alone, doesn't she?"

" Yes, she does."

" Then it might be very boring. The children will also keep her company. Let me know when you're ready so we can all go together."

" I will."
