Chapter 25

Obaa Yaa reminisced the many lives she had touched with her kindness and how some people she met taught her the greatest lesson.

“Hmmm...I wish I could. It's just unfortunate. Hopefully, I can bring my experience in handling such people to bear. I will introduce you to her first, lest she may never open her doors for you."

“Very well. Lead the way then."

Obaa Yaa alighted a few meters away from Mrs Adom's house and walked slowly to her driveway. The unfriendly dog barked so loudly that her first daughter came out to ascertain who the intruder was.

“Oh! It's you, Obaa Yaa. I thought you were at that orphanage. What are you doing here? If it's food you want, we don't have any although we would very much like to give you some."

“I’m not here to ask for food. I came to ask if you needed some food yourselves."

"Why would you ask that question? It's not as if you have some to spare. Or do you?"

“Come along with me." Obaa Yaa beckoned her to follow her.
