“You really want to know why I’m doing this?” Gracie asked, pacing. She looked like she’d lost her mind already. Zara wasn’t sure if that was a good or a bad thing. For all she knew, Gracie could just whip back and put a bullet through her head, ending her life. So, Zara held Aaron’s body with trembling hands, his blood seeping into her clothes.

“It’s revenge,” Gracie continued, pacing back and forth. She didn’t care whether Zara listened to her rants or not. All she knew was talk. “What would you do if your own sister planned against you and stole the man you loved?”

Gracie stopped and grunted. It seemed like the anger from remembering those things had gotten to her and she was heaving like a bull before a red cloth, her forehead dotted with sweat. “I was happy. The man of my dreams had finally noticed me and we were going out on dates. It was a wonderful time to have Sebastian laugh around me.
