Sitting in the meeting hall with an unreadable expression, Aurel perceived everything while laughing wickedly in her mind. Staring at Jin who seemed to lack any blood in his body, Aurel smugly thought.
'Hehehe... Bastard, this is what you get. I told you, why did you have to make your disciple soo damn annoying. You never think about the consequences and simply do whatever you want.'
'Hehe, with the prospects of being the disciple of the fucking Overseer, even if he wanted to, Blade wouldn't have a choice in the matter.'
On one end of the stone table were three stone chairs. Sitting there was the Sect Master in the middle, the black-haired female Overseer, and a bulky man with short brown hair. He was the second Overseer present.
Bam!
The brown-haired man slammed his fist on the stone table, immediately pulverizing it into dust as he stood up and stared down the Overseer on the other side of the Sect Master.
"Charlotte, I'll warn you right now, don't think that I'll simply sit here quietly as you take another talented disciple under you!" His eyes were cold and his tanned skin seemed to glimmer. An unbelievable skyrocket in temperature permeated through the hall.
The hall immediately silenced. The many Elders and Chief Elders were left speechless by the Overseer's sudden outburst. Even the Sect Master's face changed as his expression froze.
Unlike Charlotte, this man had an incredibly thin level of patience, and he was someone who rather use brute force to solve all problems.
'Was he about to start a fight right here and now? If that were to happen, the Limitless Sky Sect might be destroyed...' Shock and slight fear weld up inside Aurel. It wasn't just her, the whole Hall filled with the Elders and Chief Elders was full of fear for what was to come.
A frigid cold descended as the heat and cold collided with one another. Charlotte stood up from her seat as her emotionless eyes stared at the other Overseer.
"Little brat Magnus, did you forget who was the one that taught you? Maybe, as the teacher, my duty isn't to guide my students but, to instead keep them and their arrogance in check!"
Charlotte waved her hand and the Sect Master was immediately embarrassed. Without any chance of resistance, he was forcefully sent a few meters away with a gust of wind as his presence seemed to block the path between the two Overseers.
Magnus smirked coldly. His presence inside the hall slowly rose as it was followed by an intense amount of heat as he said.
"If you taught me and now I can stand up to you, it only means that your talent isn't much. Knowing this, wouldn't it be better for me to teach Blade, seeing as only someone who could be identified as a genius would be able to understand another with talent?"
His voice was filled with arrogance as he clenched his fist as sparks began forming in the surrounding space as if they would soon catch flames.
His words seemed to anger Charlotte, her aura spiked as the Elders and Chief Elders had trouble breathing. Even the Sect Master couldn't help but be shocked at the difference in power between himself and the two Overseers.
As they all were simple subordinates of one higher power and weren't an actual Sect, their comradery wasn't picture perfect, not at all.
No one would be able to stop them if these two were to begin a fight. These two had much hate for the other, every chance they got, they'll try to damage the other.
Right now, the situation was spiraling down a horrible path. 'It's a pity that the other Overseer isn't here... only he could have a chance of stopping this fight.' The Sect Master thought with a dark expression as the clash between the two seemed inevitable.
Bang!
Suddenly, a loud explosion resounded throughout the hall. Some Elders immediately hissed out loud, expecting to be blown away from the shockwave from the collisions between the attacks of the two Overseers but...
Sigh!
A depreciating sigh entered all their ears. The frigid yet heated temperature dispersed as a much more powerful and overbearing pressure descended onto the bodies of all present. Immediately, they all felt as if their secrets were laid bare as a voice thundered throughout.
"Overseers acting up like this... If the officials from Limitless Void World know of this, wouldn't I too be punished even though I've got nothing to do with it?"
At the entrance of the meeting hall, a young man with a long blade sheathed in a golden scabbard with exquisite designs suddenly appeared. All eyes turned toward him, containing shock, fear, and awe as they all simultaneously recognized who he was.
"A-!" Magnus uttered. His voice cracked for a second as a bead of sweat fell from his chin.
"Young Master, what're you doing here?" Charlotte cautiously asked.
It was clear that both of them were frightened by this young man who didn't even seem to pass eighteen. His appearance was exquisite, just like the aura that radiated from his body.
He had long black hair and a pair of black eyes darker than night. The moment one made eye contact, one'll immediately feels a fear that came from the depths of one's soul.
"What am I doing here? Funny you ask since it's because of you that I'm here! If I didn't appear, which one of you would grow some brain and stop the needless fighting?! Do you want to destroy the Sect before you realize that you're grown adults who've lived for countless tens of thousands of years?"
His voice contained immense anger. The power he radiated seemed to not affect the Elders nor Chief Elders but only the poor Sect Master and two Overseers.
Turning his attention away from the Overseers, he focused on the Sect Master. "And you, are you truly the Sect Master of Limitless Sky Sect? If someone else was present, they'll mistake you for one of these useless Elders... Tsk..! All of you are a disappointment."
Thrum!
His cold and sharp tone resounded in the minds of all present. He seemed like an emotionless emperor disappointed in his subordinates. He turned his back around, already leaving the meeting hall as he said.
"As for the boy who caused all this, tell his master to send him to me. I'll accept him as my disciple seeing as you people wouldn't make up your mind."
The faces of all present dropped. What was abusing one's power? If they were asked, then they'll answer that this young man would be the answer but, he didn't stop there.
"Oh, and also, tell him to bring the other one too. Both of them will be my disciples and also the future Holy Sons of Limitless Sky Sect. From what I've seen, they're qualified to join my Limitless Void World in the future."
Thrum!
His words sent a shock throughout the bodies of the Overseers. Aurel, who was once laughing internally found her mind short circuit. What was this situation? The meeting was to determine a master for Jin's disciple, not hers too!
Wasn't this like seeing someone with countless wounds, and then expressionlessly throwing buckets of salt and pepper into these wounds?
Aurel gritted her teeth and clenched her dress tightly. She was angry. Angry due to her inability to keep her disciple. But, she was mostly angry due to the man named Jin.
'If he wasn't soo excited to show to the world the brilliance of his disciple, wouldn't this situation have not ever appeared?' Her cold eyes stared at Jin who sensed her gaze, only scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
As for being angry at the Overseer who had just appeared and disappeared, she didn't dare.
...
...
Speaking of this Overseer, he was currently sitting on a lawn of grass basking under the green sun radiating endless Life energy and vitality. His black eyes released an aura of power and sage energy, as if all the secrets of this world, he already knew.
With his identity, he had all the right in this world to proclaim that he understood all its secrets as he was someone who stood above all mortals, quite literally. He was at the peak of the Mortal reams of cultivation but, most importantly...
"Hey, is this fair? I mean, the speed at which the boy cultivates, and then his cultivation skyrocketing for absolutely no reason... is this fair? What kind of character is this, and with that attitude to boot, isn't he one of those cannon fodders who'll die very soon? If I'm to accept him as my disciple, wouldn't I also be courting death..?"
He couldn't help but express his doubts out loud, even though there wasn't anyone nearby. With his eyes closed and seemingly accepting his situation, he mumbled.
"Fine, since they're my tickets to transcending mortality then I'll have no choice but to accept them as my disciples."
"Anyway, this wouldn't be the first time that I, Astral Fabel, have instilled my cautious personality into my disciples, less they go offend a protagonist and bring forward the day of my doom..."
