Chapter 2. [Welcome, player!]
"What the hell is this!?"
Currently, Hoshi has entered a gate against his own will, and was fighting against a bunch of bug monsters with a foldable chair. The monsters were up to his knees, so they were pretty easy to squash. Hoshi found himself at a dead end of a cave looking corridor, that was dimly lit by torches. It seemed to be overgrown with vines and all kinds of plants. The sound of water dripping in the distance could be heard somewhere in the distance, and the air had a smell of wet stone. After seeing no more monsters come, Hoshi sat down in a corner to process what the hell just happened.
What and how the fuck. Where am I? This place looks like a gate... Why am I in a gate?! Did I fall in? Or am I dreaming?! He thought, biting his lip in frustration. He pinched himself and it hurt, ruling out the possibility of dreaming. Hoshis eyes shifted to the slimy mush that used to be a bug monster. The bugs also seemed real...
Hoshi was lost in thought until a sound brought him back. He stood up almost instantly, ready to fight again if needed, holding the chairs legs so tight his knuckles were turning white.

Hoshi felt a piece of his sould dissappear from the stupid jumpscare as he stood still, when a bluish green see-through window appeared in his vision. Eh?

Player? Name? What is this game window looking like thing? Hoshi couldn't help but whisper out a curse word. "What the fuck...?"

The guy flinched from the window changing, but quickly gathered himself together and slowly lowered the chair. "N-no?"

Hoshi was sceptical at first, not knowing if giving it his name would be like putting out his personal information on the internet. Then again, it was a real life game window he was seeing. After much deliberation, Hoshi thought he had nothing to loose.
"...Hoshi Senshi."
[Your name is: »Hoshi Senshi«. Do you confirm your answer?]
[Yes/No]
"Yes."
The thing didn't appear again, giving Hoshi time to process what just happened. It said "training program" and it looked like a game window... Wait. It was definitely a game window! Hoshi thought and felt himself smiling from excitement, understanding a little of what was happening. The thing that appeared was hundred percent a game window, he knew it in his bones as a gamer. Now, the only thing he needed was to figure out was how to activate it. It reacted to me saying my name... Maybe it's voice activated? Worth a try. Now, something every game has... Got it!
"Menu?" Despite his excitement, his voice came out uncertain. And just like magic, the window popped up again exactly with what Hoshi asked for.

"Aw man, I'm a noob!" He groaned, running his eyes through his stats again. They were all starter things, which greatly hurt the inner gamer in Hoshis heart.
"Back to menu." The system obliged. "Hmm... Let's check out quests."

"Huh? The chair? I guess it counts, as I used it..." Hoshi looked at the chair in his hand. As stupid as it was, it was quite handy. Now that the guy got the hang of things, he just had a few questions. Scroll of truth... What does that do? And it's ultra rare too... Well I have three, might as well use one. "Use scroll of truth."

Hoshi lowered his head, hiding his expression of pure happiness behind his black hair. "Well then... Guess I will just have to beat the dungeon!"
