That's weird. I wasn't even dreaming. It is a total blank. I can't remember anything after that. Normally I will at least dream. But this time, it's a blank slate.
Well, dwelling on that won't do me any good. How about I wake up?
I try to move but something is blocking me. It's not too heavy and kinda soft. I feel like I am being pinned down by something. I think I should open my eyes first.
After opening my eyes, I see Eden on my chest. So Eden is sleeping on my chest. But I notice that my arms are blocked by something as well.
And the answer is, Hazel and Aura. They are both hugging my arms. It looks like they are sleeping. So I have been pinned down by them.
(Aera, what time is it?)
(It's nighttime, master. It's past midnight.)
(I see. Waking up won't do any good. How about I go back to sleep?)
(Certainly, master. But don't forget about Fay?)
What about Fay? But I didn't have to think too much about it. I look to my right side and see that Fay is also sleeping beside me.
Did this house have a bed this big? I mean, five people are sleeping on this bed. I don't think much of it and just go back to sleep.
In the morning, I wake up again. I look around and see that no one is here. I get down from the bed. I think this is Fiona's room. They moved me here.
I should really think about moving to another house. I mean, I can't just be a freeloader. And I have 7 people with me all the time. Although four of them are not present most of the times, they are still with me.
I leave the thinking about a new house for another time. I should consult with Fiona first. If she knows anyone who can help me find a house, that would help. Then I would need a budget. I can put in some work to prepare the funds.
I go to the first floor. This room is on the second floor. My first time being on the second floor.
I can smell the breakfast. Fiona is probably making a classic breakfast. I mean, eggs, bacon, bread and something that I can't recognize. I'll find out soon enough.
"Good morning, master." (Hazel)
I was going to the washroom when Hazel greeted me from behind.
"Morning, Hazel. When did you all wake up?"!
"Not too long ago. I think Fiona woke up first. Because when I woke up, she was already in the kitchen." (Hazel)
She goes to the dining room. I go inside and freshen up. When I look in the mirror, something feels different. Did something change in my sleep? My face looks…..well it's nothing special.
I pay it no mind and proceed to the dining room.
"Morning, honey." (Aura)
"Good morning, papa." (Eden)
"Good morning."
I am not in a bad mood. On the contrary, I am in a very good mood. Fay is nowhere to be seen though.
"Where is Fay?"
"She and Hazel are helping Fiona." (Aura)
"That's unusual."
"Yeah. Fay said that she wants to practice cooking more. Hazel and I want to learn too." (Aura)
"I see. Well, it's good to know how to cook. But I wouldn't get to cook if all of you start cooking."
"You don't have to cook, honey. We all have eaten your cooking for a while. How about you sample our cooking as well?" (Aura)
"I'll eat it. By the way, did something happen yesterday? I can't remember much."
"Not really. You kinda collapsed and slept through the day." (Aura)
I won't put much thought into it. I go with the flow. And then breakfast arrived. It's clearly what I thought. But there's this odd drink.
"What is this drink?"
"That's aloe juice. It's kinda bitter but good for your health." (Fiona)
I see. Aloe juice. I never got to try it. I take a sip and it's kinda bitter.
"It's quite bitter, isn't it?"
"It could be made sweet. But the bitter taste kinda refreshes your body." (Fiona)
I eat my breakfast. I think this is a good time.
"I have something to ask you, Fiona."
"Hmm..what is it?" (Fiona)
"How can I buy a house? I have been thinking of moving to a new house."
I think I asked something pretty normal. I have been staying at this house for a while. I have inconvenienced her a few times as well. And I have way too many people with me. This house is barely housing all of us.
Moving to another house is the right choice. But Fiona has a dead look in her eyes. Like she is extremely angry.
"You can just stay here." (Fiona)
"But there are too many people in this house. I think we should move out."
"You all can stay here." (Fiona)
She is answering in a calm tone but somehow it doesn't feel so calm. Fay is looking at me as if amused.
"You all are staying here. That's final. Am I clear?" (Fiona)
Due to her immense pressure, I gave up on the idea of moving to a new house.
She took the dishes and went to the kitchen.
"Clive, why did you suddenly think about a new house?" (Fay)
"I mean, there are at least four of us here. And other four can come out anytime. There are always six people in this house which I think is a bit too much. I was thinking that it was probably annoying for Fiona. So I thought about moving out."
"I don't think so. She likes it when it's lively. Besides, she doesn't want all of you to move out. She's become pretty attached to Eden. Don't bring up this topic again. She's pretty scary when she's angry." (Fay)
I think I have an idea now. Then I will just renovate this house a bit. After consulting her of course.
"How about we all go out for shopping? I wanted to take all of you out yesterday but I couldn't. How about today?"
"That's fine by me." (Fay)
"Yeah. I think I want new clothes. Wearing Fay and Fiona's hand me downs won't work forever." (Hazel)
Then it's decided. We'll go out for shopping. The long awaited shopping chapter is finally happening. I won't say anything to jinx us.
