The introduction to her

She shifted and ran off into the forest. All I could do was watch in awe as I yelled in protest of her departure. Her wolf has a beautiful silver, golden coat with flecks of black on her muzzle. I had heard that the Jewel clan was known to be beautiful but, I had never personally seen one till today. And boy oh boy, were they right. They are beautiful.

When I was strolling through the town, not far from Moon's house, I smelled an addicting scent. It was somewhere between lilacs, roses, and sugar. My wolf went crazy and I knew what that meant.

I had finally found my mate.

I had always attracted the females, and don't get me wrong, I loved the attention. But no matter who I was with, none filled the empty feeling I had. Only your mate could make you feel whole. and now I was going to find her.

Without second-guessing myself, I started following the scent. It leads me to a beautiful house upon a hill. I walked the yard of the house and that's when I saw her. Gold and silver hair with black flecks and her body was perfect in every way. I already was thinking unholy thoughts.

As I stepped forward, the male next to her, reached out to touch her, and instinctively my wolf growled. They both snapped their heads in my direction.  That is when I saw the most beautiful sight. Her eyes were like opals. The male had eyes like sandstone.

"Who are you," the male growled as he moved in front of her, protectively.

Her eyes glazed over meaning they were mind linking. Then the male didn't move, which caused her to shove him out of the way. I chuckled at the sight, loving her spunky personality.

'Our mate is hella hot. But something about her seems off. Sorry but, I can't help myself.' Sam my wolf said before taking over

My eyes went dark as Sam took over. Before she could step forward, I blurred to her and pushed her to the wall.

"Ow! What are you-," is all she could say before I harshly pressed my lips to hers.

I felt the electricity flow through me, as my wolf purred. She shoved me away, her eyes turning red. Then her eyes glazed over. She snapped her head in the other males' direction. Following her line of sight, I could tell he was on the verge of shifting. Just as he was about to, she went over and pinched him between the shoulder and neck, causing him to fall to the floor unconscious.

'Hot,' Sam purred, 'Imagine what else she could do...'

I stepped toward her and she slowly turned around to face me.

"Can I help you?" she asked, anger lacing her voice.

"You know why I am here," I replied trying to take a step toward her

She blurred and shoved me against the wall. Before she could speak, the male came to.

"What the hell, Moon?!" he yelled.

Moon, what a gorgeous name.

"Oh get over it," she replied, "And don't even think about shifting."

Then both their eyes glazed over. Since she was distracted, I flipped positions, pinning her against the wall.

"That is no way to treat your mate, now is it."

The other male looked shocked. And before they  mind-linked he said,

" Mate?!"

After they mind-linked, she pushed me off her and ran to the back of the yard, at the tree line. I followed her and before she got to the treeline of the woods, she turned to me.

"Why are you following me?!"

"We're mates. I am supposed to protect you, "I replied calmly, taking my normally intimidating Alpha stance.

"Alex," she growled.

"Ah, so you do know me, Moon," I replied.

She glared at me and said,

"I don't need a mate, Alex. Let alone a mate like you."

Then she shifted and ran into the forest.

'Damn, she's feisty!"  Sam, purred.

And boy, was he right.
